We do not sell the Bluetooth headset over the phone.

And being adamant that we HAVE to sell it, or yelling at me that we suck, or claiming that somebody else told you we could and it could be billed to your account? None of these things will alter that fact. How on earth can I bill you for an accessory WE DON'T SELL OVER THE PHONE?!?! I feel for whomever gets this fool today...

Question about possible store closing?

Alright gang I need some advice and maybe a possible heads up. All of a sudden our district manager and main auditior showed up at our store unannounced within a week of each other. Then our other auditior showed up 2 days after Sprint announced killing 5,000 jobs. She has not left yet and our Regional Manager is to be here any minute now. Would it be safe to assume that our store is doomed to be one of the stores to be closed???? Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

Do CSR's hate it when store reps call in?

I'm just wondering because most of my client base is too stupid, or believes they are too good to call in for themselves. I'm always so nice to the reps but come on guys when i tell these people some of the things you tell me they go bonkers. Try telling someone they owe $142 on a bill when they drive a 7 series beemer and live in a $4.5 million house! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Cust asked how to send pictures....

Ok, So this young lady comes in and asks me how to send pictures from her phone to email/disk/etc... I told her I could show her and she agrees. ๐Ÿ™„

I go through the whole process of sending a picture, but when I pull up the picture folder, the first pic is a topless shot of her! ๐Ÿ˜ณ She couldn't be anymore than 18 (if that).

Don't people think to delete personal pix before they come into a store? It's not like i'm looking through her pix secretively, she wanted to know how to send them (and handed me the phone to show her). It didn't seem to bother her when I saw her "goodies" either... (she was stading right next to me lookin at the screen the entire time) So I had her type in her email addy and sent the pic and she left. ...

Dear All: Verizon, Sprint, USCC, T-Mo, and other sales reps...

Cingular gets the iPhone.

You know that sound you hear before the 30 Megaton nuclear warhead hits?

Yeah, bet you just felt that, didn't ya?

Oh, how I love selling Cingular.

...because all you will hear for the next few YEARS is, "Hey, you got the iPhone?"

Rollover vs. Fair and Flexible (since F&F is dying)

Here's my beef with sprint losing the Fair and Flexible:

For the longest time, we had commercials say that with the Fair and Flexible, you would never have unfair overages.

This is obviously the advantage between the two plans, here's why:

Cingular Plan - 900 min w/rollover - $59.99/mo
Sprint Fair and Flexible - 900 min w/30 min for $5 - $59.99/mo (7pm nights for free, for this comparison, let's assume the customer didn't use a single minute between 7 and 9.)

Month 4, 825 min used.
Cingular - $59.99 - 75 min into rollover bucket
Sprint - $59.99.
Advantage - none

Month 5, 1049 min used.
Cingular - $59.99 + $29.60 for overage minutes. 0 left in rollover bucket. Total $89.59
Sprint - $59.99 + $25.00 for overage. Total $84.9...

Stop the insanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Already have people coming in here confusing the RAZR for every other phone that has a name (RAZR, KRZR, Chocolate, The V, the EnV)... And I'm not sure what it is, but on my new rebate list is a RAZR Maxx Ve (what the _____ is that?!) And now we're getting the RIZR and the SLVR........Moto..Stop the insanity. We're tired of trying to decipher what the moron customers are actually asking us for.

I work with morons!!

Everyone knows that I am alone in my dept for a few days, so why do they transfer calls to my ext when they see that I am standing right next to them. Or better yet they try my ext, realize I am on it and transfer it to my co-workers desk next to mine and they know he's away!!!! Hello? Are we just dumb? What's the problem with putting the person on hold and then telling me which line to pick up?

Ok I just needed to vent!!

I'm glad I have a traffic counter in my store....

The owner of our company is kinda cranky about sales output of the store. Me and the manager, the only two here, got our butt chewed out for about 30mins on how we don't "close the sale" and how we are lucky he is going to let us keep our jobs... It is now 4:30, have seen 2 people all day, and he then asks, "is this how it's like everyday?" To which we reply, "yep just check the traffic counter for this week". "oh, so you only had 40 people in here so far this week." "No sir, you have to divide that in half, they walk in and out." Needless to say he appologized and bought us supper and then asked us for advice on how to advertise.

Free PDAs? How would that make sence.

I just had a customer call in asking what PDA devices we offered for free with activation. They made claim that Wirefly was offering the 8700c and Pearl for free with two year. I politely laughed and told them I have no PDAs i would be willing to give them on a two year. Good luck with Wirefly(I think thats who it was).

Boost Mobile Phones

We sell Nextel and now Boost Mobile(Prepaid Nextel) and the Sim card kits to activate Boost Prepaid.
If we place a Boost Sim card in a regular Nextel IDEN Phone it converts it to Boost prepaid,But if we put a Standard active Nextel SIM in a boost phone it asks for a password and won't work? Can anyone explain this?

Well if you won't give me any other options...

Why do people love to think that I'm just choosing not to give them all their options.

He didn't like that we require a signature for delivery on all of our products and our cheapest shipping is $5.99 and "2 to 4 business days" usually, almost always, that means 2 business days, so order today, get the stuff on Friday. But I cannot guarantee that it's going to be Friday, just not possible, I'd be lying if I said that yes I can promise. If you want a sure thing you have to pay the $11.99 for Overnight and I can swear to all that is holy that you will get it by Thursday... otherwise, sorry.

But we are not without options... if you want I can send it anywhere in the US (not just continental US either, anywhere that is a State is fair g...

Everyone, I need your suggestions

Next year I will be getting a promotion if all goes right. I will be the Area Manager for the few stores in this area.

For those of you who have been in managment.
What suggestions would you have to keep on the employees good sides yet still get things done properly?

How much crap should you take before saying enough is enough?

For Employees
What are the things you dislike most from your management?

PDA or Smartphone?

I'm looking for a definitive difference between a PDA and a Smart phone.

I always thought it was the software. More specifically, the operating system.

According to cingular, it a qwerty keyboard (which is obviously stupid).

How do other companies define them?
