Mobile Pollution Sales People (little long)

I work in a kiosk in a relatively small mall. i was talking to a custie a few minutes ago going over the normal stuff: rate plans, Phone pricing, etc. When all of a sudden from the next kiosk over the sales person there yells to my customer, " I can get you the RAZR free with no rebates."

Being the way people are over the RAZR this immediately got her attention. She then asked me if I could match this. I said yes but I do have mail in rebates. He then told her ( still yelling in the mall) that he could give her free car chargers and cases. I work for a corporate store, i can't override the prices like that.

Obviously she then left me and is now signing her contract with that company.

The bad thing is it was for 3 lines.

and i thought i couldn't be suprised anymore... (long)

so i was just talking to this lady about upgrading her phone... her 3 year old was running all around getting her hand prints on everything so she picked her up and put her on the counter. The kid crawled across the glass counter and picked up the enV. My instant reaction was to quickly release it from the child's grip and put it back into the case, and i did, and the mother looked at me like i was a horrible person. We continue talking about the phones and her kid is screaming and screaming so she takes her RAZR (pink) out of her purse and gives it to the kid... the kid goes over to the edge of the hall (i'm on the second floor of the mall) and holds the phone in between the sections of glass (i know, who designed this place anyway?) and ...

ok... heres the deal... if i hear one more

because someone actually has to wait five minutes for assistance ima F***ing flip a bitch...

try raising a fuss like that at the DMV thinking itll get you faster service... Mr State patrolman standing in the lobby of every DMV in america may have something to say about that...

all that really does is give us incentive to work with the customer we are on even longer... cuz hey... we like this guy here... weve established a rapport... were buds... its like im his kids god father at this point right? why would i want to help Mr exaggerated sighs too much when i have this guy here... that i know i like?

Customer excuses

Is it me or does every customer who has a problem with their phone, have some sort of excuse as to why they need it replaced immediatly in the store. I had some customers in the past few days say they have a problem with their phone and need it because their mother is in the hospital, or their phone IS their business line. I can't think of any crazy excuses customers have made up but maybe you have?

Nextel Phones and their custys

c - i was on the phone fo twelve hours yesterday trying to get this phone to work and they still aint fix it.

me -

opens phone
removes battery

"ok... wheres the simcard that belongs in this phone?"

c - is right thurr damn how long you been werkin here?

m - no... this sim is not the one that shows active on your account. where is that sim card?

c -iunno that one aint have my contax on it

m - ... well see how this ones black? this phone requires a yellow one (i stopped trying to explain the difference in memory capasity and compadibility a long time ago)

c - well cant you just make this one work?

m - only in your old phone

c - so what im gonna do

m - bring me your old phone or your new sim

c - cant you just...

warranty covers?

I just had a kid who brought his chocolate in because his keypad "fell off"... not his fault of course, it just came off when he slid the phone open.... right.

Verizon gonna warrant this thing? I said no, I'm at an agent location so it doesn't matter either way, but I'm just curious. The kid's like 15 at best.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW................

I had a girl in here a couple days ago. It looked like someone had lashed up her arms and poured the hottest most scalding water on her legs. She had a severe case of Poison Ivy on her arms and Poison Sumac on her legs. She came in and was all leaning all over the counters. I just got itchy by looking at her, and here she was rubbing her very contagious condition all over my counters for the next poor soul to come in and get it........yes I fully cleaned the counters after she left.. but still!! That's disgusting!

What's some of the gross things customers have done in your store?

Where do they find these people?

So I just had the most delightful conversation with a customer care agent within my own company that left me with my "What the hell is wrong with you" smile (the one that probably looks and is slightly painful, where I seriously am so stuck trying to figure out what just happened that I can't think enough to stop with the look.)

She had a customer on the other line (who she never could figure out how to transfer over to me) who wanted to order an accessory from us and bill to his account.

That's all well and grand but she was dumber than toast. She wanted to know ahead of time if he was eligible for the bill-to... so I asked her (literally)

Me: "How long has he had service with BigPink?"

Her: "2006!" The way she said it she was ...

"Hi, i'm interested in switching back to Sprint. I switched over to Cingular because my best friend was there and we wanted to have free in-network calling."

So I proceed to explain all the plan and phone details, etc...and after awhile I ask, "so is your friend also coming over to Sprint?"

(without missing a beat)

"No, my friend'll be dead in a week, so I don't want Cingular after next week."

hmmm.....

tell me, why is it that a customer walks right in to look at phones and doesnt need help because she as actually on the phone with a friend of hers who sells cing as well... friend is telling her to look at certain phones, so cust is asking me where they are located....then cust says o0o0o0 i like this phone...friend says yah co0l, we have that in stock, so come see me and lets get that for you today!! get outta here with that bs.

Construction Phone?

Hello to all my fellow wireless workers!

I work for the death star company and I had a customer come in to the store the other day and ask when were we getting the "Construction Phone?"

Does anyone know something that I am not aware of? Im not aware of a construction phone, so I dont know if she has us confused with another carrier. Any ideas? ๐Ÿ™‚

Question for reps who sell "ruggedized" phones

Do you get people with the huge tanks of a phone telling you "I don't know what happened, I was just talking on it and the hinge broke, the keypad popped out and tore in half, the battery cover broke, the water damage indicator turned red, and the screen cracked, all while I was in the middle of a conversation!"

Cause I get that mess all the time and even without ruggedized phones I don't believe it... if they had something like a Nextel iDen phone I think I would have to laugh in their face. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Sorry I just hate when customers lie...

So she wanted first to order a car charger, then she wanted a case, then a bluetooth headset, then a charger AND a case, then all three, then just the charger...

Finally she decided for now she just wants to order a car charger.

So I ask, do you want to pay now with a credit card or have us bill to your account.
