Who the eff does this???

I had an older woman walk into my store and sit down at my desk WHILE SOMEONE ELSE WAS ALREADY SITTING THERE!

She had one of those little portable oxygen machines. She brought her dog (large yellow lab) in with no a leash. The dog came around behind my desk and started straight for my lunch. As I grabbed for my lunch, the woman started screaming that if I hurt her dog she'll kill me. I told her she needed to take her dog outside before I would work with her and that she also needed to wait her turn in the waiting area while I finished with my current customer. I assumed she had a mental issue right away.

She got up and sat in the waiting area holding a yellow lab on her lap. The lab kept trying to get off her lap and she just k...

Theres to many of them

There are seriously like 50 women with strollers in the mall this morning. They are making laps around the mall and talking really loud. Its like The View roaming around the mall, they are all trying to talk over each other so it keeps getting louder. Its really starting to bug me. Just constantly zooming past me I wish they would get tired and leave or at least go to the second floor so I don't have to see them.

when will the whining stop?

So...I'm not on the phones all day...but the customers I end up talking to are the escalated ones...the ones who will NOT stop WHINING to get what they want...like screaming at me, calling me names, and crying about how sucky their life is because their phone doesn't work will somehow make me WANT to do something for them...does this make any sense? Because when they start doing that I just want to tell them that they just lost any hope of getting anything and at this point, I'll send them the Nokia 2610 for the Treo 750...

T-Mobile/411???

I work in a kiosk in a mall - and yes, it's corporate... However, passers by seem to think that I am mall infomation, asking me questions about the food court, Nordstroms, PacSun, Zales... on and on and on... for the love of god, people... this is T-Mobile. NOT INFORMATION. And my favorite - "Excuse me (sheepish grin) is there a Verizon/Alltel/Cingular in this mall?"... ugh... I, of course, smile and answer for the sake of professionalism. but omg, is this aggravating...

This is pretty f#@%ed up....

I was supposed to work from 3-close today. My manager called last night and asked if I could open. i told him no, I have to take my grandmother to the hospital at 11 for her chemo treatments. He started begging cuz he had "personal" stuff going on that he just HAD to take care of. Yea, your other business that is way more important than your position as my MANAGER.... He asked if I could work from 9-10:30, take my grandma, then come back when I was done. What? And just leave the store for 2-3 hours with NO ONE here?! And it gets better.... He just called and said I couldn't leave. At all. Good thing they cancelled her appointment. Why? Her liver is shutting down. IF she makes it til tomorrow morning it will be a miracle. I'm now working open...

You just can't win... (long rant)

So I go in to start my shift today, and before I can get anything done, my sup tells me not to log in because he has some feedback from Executive Relations (basically they are the people who customer write to when they don't get what they want from Customer Service/Store) he wants to go over with me. Fine. Gotten them before, we all had a good laugh at their inaccuracy, and got over it.

Well this time, I had 3 of them waiting for me. Not one, but 3. I only care about one of the because the other 2 were "You should have credited the account" situations, that no one takes seriously, since if we credit the account for no warranted reason, we hear about giving bad credits, so we hear about it either way.

The one I need to vent about was f...

That's not what I meant.......

So, I am currently interviewing for a sales opening in my store. I started doing interviews yesterday. Have you ever had someone who just goes too far into detail with answering interview questions?

Me - "So, Tell me about yourself"

Applicant - "Well, I'm 26, a single mom of 2. Getting divorced, worked food service for the last 3 years, been at my most recent job for 3 weeks. I suffer from depression, My father is diabetic, and I have horrible credit. I'm behind 2 months on my car payment, my home is about to be foreclosed on, and all of my credit cards don't get paid."

M - "Okay 😳 " (Proceeded on with other quesitons) "Why should we consider you for the position?"

A - "As i stated before. I'm broke. I need money."

M ...

"Thats what service is..."

I had a customer call my store (indirect) and ask if we could do phone book swaps. He had 3 phone books to do (on phones he bought online), we normally charge a $10 service fee for a swap, and I offered to do all 3 for $10 thinking I was being nice. He declined to come in.

The customer called me back later and the conversation went like this:

m=me
c=custie

C: I just went to another store and they did my phone book swaps for free.

M: Yes sir, a different store might not charge a fee.

C: Well, I bought my wife a phone while I was there because THATS WHAT SERVICE IS

M: Good for you sir, you have a nice day *click*

Why is it he felt the need the call me back to try to make me feel bad that I have to charge a fee for somet...

Truck Drivers Can Be Alpha-Holes

I have nothing against truck drivers in general. My uncle and cousin are truck drivers. However, I do have issues with truck drivers who act like alpha-holes. First, they always seem to curse. Just about every other word is usually dam, fudge or shoot. Second, they seem to always complain about poor coverage. For the most part, the interstate system has better coverage than any state or city. In my area, I always have five bars on the interstate, but once I get off, it drops to three at most. I understand truck drivers need there phones to call dispatch or get directions to a drop off or pick up site, but NO CARRIER IS PERFECT. Another thing I have noticed is that truck drivers normally tell you they want a basic phone and they don't care ab...

einstein.

c: yeah, i need my phone replaced because it is having ringer issues.

me: i'd certainly be more than happy to assist you with that. what seems to be going on with the ringer?

c: well, if i set the phone to vibrate...it rings. and when i set it to ring...it vibrates.

me: ooookay. 😳 we can definitely look into getting you a replacement, but you could always just set it to ring when you want it to vibrate, and set it to vibrate when you need it to ring.

c: i could? i guess i could. yeah, that makes sense. why didn't i think of that?

me to self: i could tell you why, but i don't think it's anything you'd like to hear genius.

You couldn't wait five minutes?

This woman did not have a hold time, we are available. She called me and I hear "Oh I don't have that I'm in the bathroom. I had to pee."

Why the hell didn't you go pee first then come out and call me.

But I don't need to know! Really I don't. Just say "Oh, I stepped away from the computer, give me a second." Leave it at the no details stage. I can pretend I didn't hear the toilet flush.

Yuck Yuck Yuck!

Jeeze and then she lies to me. You think I wouldn't find out?

I ask, does he have a previous account with us or a current one? She says no (her husband) and then I call in and they say he has a previous account in collections... so I tell her and she says "I just talked to the collection agency about that, they said it ...

You are serious?

This lady comes out and looks at the price tag for a RAZR2, and inform me that it is free at the store across the street.

I laughed. I couldn't help myself. It isn't even free on Let's Talk. I know she was trying to make me lower my price on that phone, but come on! IT IS A RAZR2!

I told her, "Well, you must of read the tag wrong. Would you like me to call, and ask them the actual price."

She had the nerve to say yes. Come to a big surprise it wasn't free. She was very upset, saying she will get her free RAZR2 from Verizon instead!

Number of Lines... a question for everybody

So I just had a caller blow his top because his credit put him at approved for 2 lines and he wants four.

He swears his credit is great and that he checks it every other day. I think that's probably crap, nobody pulls their credit every other day, that would be counterproductive, you get one free credit report a year... bah, lots of reasons but that sounds bogus. People say all kinds of things when they want something, mostly they lie.

But that made me wonder.

What do other carriers do.

With us (BigPink) we have a lot of variety.

You can be approved for:

10 lines (that's perfect credit)

5 Lines (nearly perfect.)

3 Lines (you're doing pretty good but have a few scrapes in the past.)

2 Lines (eh, ok, so you don't ...

Funniest customer of the day....

I was helping this lady get her phone's activated. Once we got that done, she wanted my help getting her bluetooth connected to the phone. Her husband was in the background, playing with his phone, trying to get his bluetooth working also. After I was done with her, she asked me if I can help him with his bluetooth since he was having an issue with it. I asked her what kind of headset it was, and she called to her husband in the background. Then she said "Put your package in my hand, so I can see it up close." 😳 👀 😲 😳 👀 😲 😳 👀 😲

I had to put her on hold so I didn't laugh at her.

Then the best part happened.

My manager was doing a listen-in, heard what she said, and was laughing just as h...
