NewsCorp Propaganda

Cust: Wait, NewsCorp owns Direct TV? Nevermind, Don't do business with newsCorp

Cust: good thing I checked

me: NewsCorp does not own us, they have stakes in our Company.

me: DIRECTV is the number 1 in customer satisfaction 11 years running among the largest national cable providers.

cust: doesn't matter. My money goes to companies that are not involved in propaganda, mis-information and hell bent on the destruction of America

me: Just to put things in perspective for you, just by getting TV service is providing money to NewsCorp as they own Fox. So that company is paying them for giving you fox programming.


cust: Right, and fox news is the propaganda wing of the oligarchs.

5 iPhone 5 unconfirmed rumors:

So I heard a few things about the upcoming iPhone 5...

1) I hear it has a pull out virtual laser keyboard. It also comes in many different colors... "popular" colors may result in additional cost (i.e. $99.99 extra)

2) Mind dial. Think of someone's name and it dials that person for you. No button pushing/swiping required

3) Secret access. Set security on your phone so in order to unlock it you stare into the camera lens and it scans yo' eye so you can get all up in there.

4) Free Navigation to the nearest Apple store. All other GPS Navigation subject to a $5 fee per use and $0.10 per mile.

Sprint amnesty program? Are you kidding me?

So a customer said someone at the store informed her she can setup a new account here even if she had a canceled account with balance. All she needs to do to avail that is to call telesales and inform the rep about the amnesty program.
Either the customer or the store rep is making up such a story. What kind of an idiot would be willing to forgive you for your $1000+ debt? Unless you're ruining your own business.

(I wanted to cross post this where I know employees of wireless companies come to, hopefully some of you can provide some help)

A little background on my situation and what I'm looking to do. I will be marrying my fiance in February. She is Canadian, I'm American. We will eventually be living in the Vancouver area when all is said and done. We're both looking into the government issues and checking our options out. So, this is NOT a good day

I was put into email care with NO warning. Literally. I finished a ticket for a different queue, clicked next, and got an eticket. I haven't been in this queue in weeks, and was only trained a month or so ago. I HATE ecare, because I work the escalated queue when I'm in it, meaning EVERY SINGLE customer is PISSED by the time they get to me.

So, out of my last ten customers, I've been cursed at by nine of them, told I was a horrible person by seven of them, and transferred six to a supervisor.

I don't like getting yelled at. I know no one really does, but it really stresses me out like crazy. I'm a fairly laid back person, and being yelled at, even if I know it's not really me personally they're pissed at, stresses me out, and when I g...

I'm not god

a customer called in to add a 2nd line. She have a Samsung Epic on her 1st line with $69.99 plan + $10 premium data + $8 Insurance

For the line she's adding, she wants the same phone for free and expecting the plan for the 2nd line $9.99 per month. Oh, and based on credit check there's $100 deposit to add a line on her account.

Dear Customer

Do yourself a favor and don't ever tell me that you've experienced nothing but problems in my store when I tell you that I can't call an Apple store to see if they have the 4 iPhones you want.
First, I'm an AT&T AUTHORIZED RETAILER. Second, I've been nothing but nice to you the 50 million times you've come in here with your screaming children with all your nonsense, AND you've never bought anything here in the first place! 😡

To all of you in call centers that complain about what a PIA we indirects are...

"Mikey called in about a customers 4G device that was not activating. Mikey was very professional on the phone in TS this problem and patient while we made sure that we tested all aspects of the device and SIM card. He tested the SIM card in the same model MiFi and the SIM activated right away and was going to exchange the device out for the customer. It was a pleasure working with Mikey on this issue and wanted to thank him for being an asset to [company] and [indirect]."

One side of a conversation: Voicemail test.

This just happened to an agent within earshot of my desk. All I have is one side of the conversation.

"OK, sir. Now I'm going to call your phone and test to make sure that the voicemail is working. Don't answer the phone... I'm going to leave a test voicemail and then come back to this line, OK?

...

OK, sir... I need you to go back to the other line and I'm going to call again. I need you to just ignore the call and let it go to voicemail this time, alright?

...

Alright, sir... you didn't answer? OK, well... somehow the phone got answered... can you maybe leave it on a table or something and then step away from it?

...

...OK, well I just don't know what's going on with this. Somehow the phone keeps getting answered...
