So I was reading through some funny and ancient threads in Shop Talk and I cam across a topic similar to this, so what are some of yours?

My longest so far was an hour and a half long call where I was trying to teach an old woman how to use the WAP browser on her phone, she didn't understand how to put the phone in T9 mode, and apparently hit the keys so slow in ABC mode that she had a string of "m"s before we were able to get a single "o" for "Google".

well its another day and there is nothing to do and there are so many other things that i could be doing that i dont want to do. Do you think there are any other was to waste time.

Me: ( 🙂 )Thank you for calling blah, blah, blah...

Cust: Hi if i open an account today and if I have a deposit, would you require a credit card or can I put in on my bill?

Me: Ms. cust, for new accounts the only payment option that we have would be credit or debit card.

Cust: Ok. HUNG UP. WITHOUT EVEN SAYING BYE!

WAS THAT IT? DON'T YOU EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO SAY BYE?! I OPENED THE CALL WITH A SMILE AND UTMOST RESPECT AND YOU HUNG UP JUST LIKE THAT? I EVEN HEARD THE PHONE BANGED. 😡

THIS IS REALLY THE MOST THANKLESS JOB THAT I GOT. ☹️

I bet warehouse guys don't get on PS. But if you work for SPCSlogistics, and sent the 84 boxes of inventory to me, that were supposed to go to the employee store in Overland Park, I want you to DIAF.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Three Air Force officers fell asleep while in control of an electronic component that contained old launch codes for nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles, a violation of procedure, Air Force officials said Thursday.

The Air Force said the launch codes had been deactivated before the incident, but it was still a violation of protocol, prompting an investigation.

Anybody and everybody who works in the wireless industry knows what I'm talking about. It's either a single person, sometime up to 5 people, coming at you, 'Whacha free phone?'

Granted, a lot carriers 'give' away free phones when signing a new contract. But don't get all pissy when I tell you, no, this is our only 'free' phone, no it does not have a camera, no it does not have an outer display screen, and no, it is not bluetooth. What do you expect for free?

Do you walk into Micky D's everyday, asking them what burger they got for free that day? Which shoes are free at Footlocker?

WHY do customers think that legal issues should be handled via TEXT MESSAGE and get mad at me because i can't print them out?

The hardware upgrades number for store reps to call is one digit different from a cheap motel number on the other side of the country. One of my coworkers called them today by accident and they tried to upgrade his room for him and sell him a vacation package 😁 .

I wanted to see what you guys are doing to get business into your stores/close deals- hoping to share some ideas since "the company" isn't doing much to help. I'm offering gas cards with activation- any other ideas?

Oh I love it when the 26th nears closer and closer each month.

It's when my market's bills are due.

And I love it when people drop off sealed envelopes containing their bill stub and check for me to process for them when they could have bought a .32 stamp and dropped it in their mailbox.

.... the worst part is 1/2 of them have the stamp on them.

Does anyone here work for a direct VZW store in the Columbia, franklin, brentwood or Nashville tn area? If you do, do you have any fru usb 720 devices in stock? I am asking because I want to find out if any store has these devices to fru to a cust that needs the device asap and can't wait until Monday to get the device. Thanks in advance for the info! 🙂
