The fact that every customer I have dealt with today is either too old to understand the terminology " cell phone" or too broke to buy a cell phone. Everyone wants a "free phone" Ex:
YES I AM ALREADY A CUSTOMER, IM JUST LOOKING TODAY BUT I WANT YOU TO SHOW ME THE FREE BLACKBERRY YALL HAVE FOR SELL.....where do they do that at? How can you sell something 'FREE'???

How superstitious are you?!?!

So as a salesman on commission, I have become more superstitious than i thought i ever would. When i have a great sales day, I make sure i wear the same style underwear, same tie, same color shirt, park in the same spot in the parking lot, eat the same food, etc. My question to you all is HOW SUPERSTITIOUS ARE YOU?!?!

What ever happened to Buying Stuff?

I mean seriously. I have more customers come looking only at our free phones, orold custys commin' in expecting to get free stuff because they've been with us since birth. I pose these people a question,

"What ever happened to buying stuff? Making a 'purchase' for goods that you want."

No one's ever heard the addagde, "you get what you pay for?" I bet that if the goverment put a tax on having STDs or children, these same customers wouldn't be having those either... maybe the US gov should tax these idiots for being cheap, disease ridden, children farms, instead of paying them per each f****d up child they spawn. I get so fed up with the welfare trash that walks through my door, like i owe them something.

To all those wellfare W*...

Why?

Why is it that customers always seem so...stupid? Or irrational? Or lazy?

Why do some of them find it so hard to just speak? For example, you ask them a question, and instead of answering your question, you get "Uh... well, I... uhhh... the thing... you know?" If I ask you what's wrong with the phone. don't tell me "It's not working". I already know that. HOW is it not working? "It doesn't do anything." is the general reply. Why is it so difficult to come up with "The screen is blank." or "I can't send messages." or even "The calls won't go through." WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FORMULATE YOUR THOUGHTS INTO WORDS?

Why is it impossible for a customer to go over their minutes? You all hear this statement 100 times a week. "It's impossible ...

free phones -- the double edged sword!

There are a few issues with offering free devices/handsets that i would like to discuss.

First off I work as a manager in a call center and have noticed that when we put a good device for free it always sells out really fast. this is great in the fact that it drives revenue and pays my bills.

It sucks in the fact that when we sell out we still have anywhere between 150 - 300 customers waiting to receive a device that we may not have for another week. then it does not activate until it ships so it hurts my paycheck. granted it is made up when/if they keep the service.

Then there are the customer wanting a $300 handset for free either as an exchange or a new line stating "I got my last one free, I want this one free too!!!"

Theres ...

Insurance question...

I work for an indirect agent for Verizon, but I have a question about Asurion. Everyone we talk to gives us different answers, so lets see if anyone on here knows the actual answer.

Does insurance cover a used phone you activate on your account as long as you had insurance on your previous phone?

It is getting frustrating, between calling into Asurion twice and Verizon multiple times, I have gotten a different answer each time.

Wow!

Not even 2 minutes after I opened today, I was ready to go home. Old Guy tries to come in 15 minutes before we're open. No, sir, I'm sorry we open in 15 minutes. Customer proceeds to scream and yell and cuss at me outside the door... thats fine. 🙄 I finally open the door and turn the lights on and he's as sweet as he can be. Ma'am I lost my cell phone and my wife's in the hospital. I'd like to cancel my account. He claimed he was out of contract but I couldn't look him up b/c the acct. was under his wife's name and he didn't know the last four. So I inform him, Sir I don't think customer service will let you cancel this line. You are not the acct. holder. Now he's furious. Hell, I pay the bills. We been married 55 years, I'm her *** **...

Damn you at&t!

At&t has made life in southern california hell today for tmobile. Apparently they were doing some construction around here today and cut three of our fiber optics lines and knocked out our entire network. So because of them no one has had cell service and our computers are down. So now I have to answer the same damn question every 5 secs, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A HUGE FREAKIN SIGN IN THE FRONT OF OUR STORE!!! Today sucks and I have 4 hours to go.

Blackberry Curve OS4.5

Has ANYONE heard anything about the blackberry OS upgrade for the 8100 series pearls and 8300 series Curves? my customers have been driving me up the friggin wall about when the upgrade is coming. I put a lot of my eggs in that basket and convinced a lot of people to get the pearls and curves now instead of waiting for the 8220 and Bold to come out.
