Palm Pre pre ordering?

Are there any stores that are going to do a Palm preordering? I was told by one store to come in and start up my line today and he will ensure I get a Palm Pre. Does this sound right?

How?

How do customers manage to live to middle age and established no credit? Not even enough required for a pay in advance contract. Most of the time they don't even have an ID. Do they live in one room their whole lives staring at a wall?
They couldn't even get an account at blockbuster!

Anyone checked out retail.samsungrewards.com latley? Looks like they're building a new site...

So at our store, we have to charge a 3.00 fee to pay you bill, because we go through a program to submit the bills immediately to the account.

Well I had a customer in the store yesterday who came in to pay (I had started his service up about 2 months ago) and he absolutely flipped out about the fee. He said that I was a liar because I had never told him that the fee would be on his bill ๐Ÿ˜•

I explained to him calmly that it is not on his bill, and he is more than welcome to pay his bill through the phone to avoid our fee, but he refused and repeated that he is not going to pay the fee.

By this time I'm getting pretty pissed, and am extremely tired of people disrespecting our jobs and telling us that we cannot do it right. I told...

What does U.S. Cellular Pay? Commission Structure??

I have spent about 6 1/2 years in the wireless industry. I started with Verizon back before the move to digital and left the company in spring 2007. When I left, I was working part time and pulling down 29k a year. If anyone can tell me, how is their hourly rate and commission structure? Any help would be most appreciated! ๐Ÿ˜

Sitting like a fly on a cow pie

So I was at work and sat there for an hour... and I'm still sitting here and not one person has come through the doors... not even one.. I've already jumped the rolling office chair over the power cord a few times. I've texted everyone in my phonebook, and I'm still bored. No one is on phonescoop and it's a bad month for sales.

Calling mexico

First post!

So two days ago I was scheduled to work all day long and I wake up that morning throwing up. I couldn't get anyone to cover the store so I man'd up and came in. I was in the middle of an upgrade when I feel the need to hurl so I jump up and run to the back. The 16 year old girl goes out to the car and gets her Mom who comes in. She starts yelling to the back "are you ok". I said "I'm fine I think I ate something bad last night." She replies with "Oh my God u've got that swine flu! I don't have a spleen we've gotta go!" They take off out the door leaving both phones. How's that for a first post?

Southern People

I would hate to think that everyone talked like my last customer who was from Georgia. She was speaking English but I could barely understand what she was saying. She spoke very slowly with a horrible drawl and southern accent. It made her sound uneducated and from a foreign country.

Is that just the hillbilly part of the south or is that the norm?

Short Codes

Does anyone know if boost really plans on fixing the short code issue with there phones. Boost said they are, but i've also heard that they intentionally block short codes. Was just wondering if anyone really knows what's going on with that.

GRRRR OLD PEOPLE

Today's Idiot

I'm just sitting at my computer reading nothing good on phonescoop and I'm interrupted by a teenager kid still in high school with a fo-hawk. He's got a pretty new touch screen phone and is telling me he was sent here from the mall (we own the mall location as well as this store) he tells me that the guy told him to come over here and get a phone for $30
I'm very secpitcal of this.
1) why didn't the guy just do it then for the kid and get the commission
2) why would he want a $30 phone when he has the new touch screen?
So I ask him a little more of what is going on and he tells me that he has a phone, and a pre-paid and that he has a lot of money on his account. I ask which account and I can't get a straight answer. He's like a broken re...

Why.....(just a lil long)

Does someone come 15-20 mins before open pull on the door, cup his hands and look into the store ๐Ÿ‘€ ? I'm moping and just wave...gets pissed off and waits till 9 on the dot and trys to get in. I'm in the bathroom and I here him tugging on the door so I decide to take my time. I'm sorry I'm tierd cranky and its not my fault you wait till the day after your bill's due to make the payment. I take my time walking to the door and I see the guy pointing to his watch, I nod. Unlock the door let him in. The first thing he has to say is
"The sign says 9..."
Me: Looking at the clock saying 9:03am ๐Ÿคจ "sorry was in the bathroom:
Customer: "That wave wasn't funny ๐Ÿ˜ก "
Me: "How can I help you today?"

I dragged this out a lil longer than...
