Cranky People and the Recession

Is it just me or since this recession has taken affect, has there been way more cranky people in the wireless industry. I find that a higher percentage are cranky. Still get the occasional nice person on the phone but there are a lot more cranky people calling in. I would also be curious to know if there are more cranky people in retail as well.

Discuss.

How much per pound?

So my co-worker got asked by a 40ish woman today about our Blackberry sale... She wanted to know how much they cost per pound, and was 100% serious.

We have some special customers... very special customers.

Sick of this....

So i went to other carriers inquiring about a job. Turns out that i'm getting shafted. Other carriers start out an average $3.00 more than I currently make. Upon research, the market i'm located in is close to the bottom. 40 minutes away, the store there is 2 pay grades higher. Wow, this is great. Of course when I dispute this and ask about it they feel that i should do all the research to justify this. Even other stores in my market in a different state are in a high pay grade. WTF. I need out. Fast.

Are you serious?

C: I have to charge my phone every 3 days, is there something you can do to fix it?

M: 😳

C: I think I need a new battery.

M: You are only charging your phone every 3 days?

C: Yes, I think there is something wrong with the battery.

M: That is actually very good if you are only charging it every 3rd day.

C: But it keeps going to dead.

M: 👀

How do you respond to this? I know we all see stupid people every day but sometimes I wonder about about the general population.

Verizon Employees

my friend is going to an interview for an indirect agent store and they are paying min. wage which is 7.30 an hour OR commission whichever ends up being higher. My question for him is how does commission for verizon work? Is it depending on the store? As well as with an indirect agent does he get the ability to get the 'free phone'?

Simply Wireless

Has anyone heard of a T-Mobile retailer called Simply Wireless? One of their reps is interested in hiring me, but I have no idea what their pay/comission structure is like, their numbers, or pretty much anything about their company. Can anyone give any insite?

I don't understand... (kinda long)

So the store I work at used to offer to call in customers bill payments for them when they wanted to pay with check or credit. So we have alot of customers that come in to pay their bills that way...No problem. Most of them I'm familiar with now and have absolutely no problem helping them out, but I always give them the information to do it themselves.

When a custy comes in to pay a bill that I am not familiar with, tell them that I can take their payment in cash and there is a $3 fee. Most of the time they say ok and pay it or they throw a fit (you know how it goes).

NOT TODAY!!

This guy says "I came in here cause last time the guy did it for me over the phone. I used to do it myself but figured it was easier to make you do it" ...

Store to Kiosk

I'm moving in a few days and currently I work in a retail store, 3rd party. I recently gained a position at a corporate level working in a kiosk (I haven't started yet, but i was told I'm filling the position).

What are some of the things I need to be aware of during the transition? Thanks

5 Mins

Is how long it took this guys laptop to start up.

He came in with a problem with his internet usb stick. It wasn't making a connection and tech support couldn't help him. So he busts out his laptop and powers it on. 5 mins later after I've run out of things to talk about with him and staring at his computer it finally boots up to the desktop. Surprise surprise he has 5 million icons cluttering his desktop. Who knows how many spyware, trojans and viruses that computer has. Turns out it was just his SIM card and it was an easy fix.

I asked him if it normally takes this long to start up and he said yes. I mean if my computer took 5 mins to start up I would figure out what the hell is wrong with it and run some damn spyware soft...

Madness, Confusion, Mayhem and Disorder

The 4 ingredients in making a wireless sales reps' day go so much better. " Understanding the nature of the issue actually restores peace and tranquility in the lives of others who cant help but interveen within the constant struggles of everyday living and the everlasting battle between sanity and total chaos. "

Thats what the **** a customer just spouted off to me after I told her there was a fee to pay her wireless bill in store with cash money. If anyone else can comprehend the "message" that was evidentally supposed to make me "waive" the fee please explain b/c as of right now I need a beer and a nap

I just need a simple phone.... Do you have any of those Blueberries?

🙄

So this BoGo on Blackberries has brought a lot of people to my store, but a good chunk of the customers are coming in with their Razr/8300. They go on and on about how they just need a phone to make and receive calls, they don't need "no internet or that texting stuff." But they are deadset on getting a blackberry, at least until you inform them that the data plan isn't optional.

It's an internet machine... barring that it has a full qwerty keyboard on an advanced touch screen.. you don't even know how to program speed dials on your RAZR..

Customers are funny.
