True, but sometimes at the gym, I'll wanna do my much overdue cardio & wanna use my headphones & tune into a game, or some other show that Gold's is broadcasting inside the gym & ONLY an FM radio will do... but yes, it's a small price to pay to have one of the coolest friggin' phone to date... no FM radio on the Galaxy Nexus is not gonna keep my hangin' on to my FM radio'd laggin' average ...

Has pretty much everything I'd need, and I'm loving the 4.7" screen... a couple things some may miss might be the Predictive Text entry, an FM radio, and a Memory Card Slot, but I think I'll be able to get over it if this baby operates as smooth as I'm hoping on Androids 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Nice post InsuranceMan... it does indeed work wotk the 8300. I just tried it. Finally a way to use the speaker phone with the phone closed. [provided you have your head set handy to Plug in, Make the call, Close the phone, Unplug the Head set and YOU'RE IN BUSINESS] !!!
Additional note: It works either way... speaker phone "on" or "off" prior to plugging in the head-set ie... no need to even turn speaker ...

Definitely switch. I've had a ton of different phones over the years (not just LG and Moto)... but the LG VX-8300 is by far the #1 favorite phone I've ever owned. I sleep with it sometimes. Not quite as kinky as it sounds, but it puts me to sleep with the killer mp3 (and or wma) playa !!! luv it almost as much as the wife... gee, no double meaning there (well not much) ...

Great post Faust... for $19 bucks it's indeed a steal!
Not sure however if there's even a 2-gig microSD card out yet.
I got the 1-gig micro card from Best Buy and put over 200 songs on it thus far.
The 512 is probably nice, but the 1-gig is not even twice the price [only a little more $$] but holds twice the data [ie. twice the number of songs].

I got a nice sounding set of headphones with the Music Essentials Kit that's usually $29 but was on sale on Verizons Website for $19
The kit made it really easy to transfer any PROTECTED [purchased] Copyrighted Songs to my 8300

I called LG and complained, only to be told that Verizon would need to change [update] the software and it's not a PHONE [LG] PROBLEM, but rather a software issue that Verizon will have to decide [or not decide] to do something about. We may need to bitch big time to Verizon. I PLAN TO CALL THEM [on a weekly basis] and f#ck them up, bitch, scream, holler, complain aggressively, yell, use profanity... ...

Cellenator.. LG makes awesome phones indeed, and the FUSION does seem pretty cool from what I've seen / heard / read etc...
Time will tell if the people truly love the phone like MOST [self included] "absolutely love" their LG 8300.
There's room for more than one beloved phone by LG.
If you're w/ Verizon, go w/ the LG VX-8300
(or maybe the A-900 ... time will tell)
If your w/ Sprint, continue to love your Fusic LX-550.
They're BOTH incredible phones depending on if ...
