The is just the beginning of what will eventually be a complete reversal of everything that came out that California District court.

Did Verizon absolutely need to take this long to verify the update?

Really? That's the issue?

Apple objects to being able to search the phone from the home screen? They claim a patent on THAT? 😲

Wow, that's just.....utterly asinine...there's just no other word for it.....

The latest is 4.1

The purpose of this (4.0.4) is a workaround to bypass the "banhammer" from Apple.
Google mentioned Galaxy Nexus will be back next week.

Fantastic

An 'update' that cripples the phone's functionality....and they are bundling that together with Jelly Bean so that people will have to accept it if they want the newest Android.

But I don't blame Google, no, they are only abiding by the law, I blame Apple. Thanks Apple, you freaking jerks.

Way to block a phone no one cares about.....

Really, Apple, if you're going to get a phone banned, ban the SIII - that's the phone that's going to and is placing a giant gouge in your face.

Fame and Fortune.

Here is something I wrote and shared with others.

For thirty years, Apple has been the struggling Artist. It believed in remaining far removed from society when it came to its beliefs. It wanted to do things its way and nobody else's.

Along the way, it took ideas and incorporated them in its act. It piqued limited interest here and there through a couple of generations and continued the road of performing trying to get that major break.

Enter the iPhone:

A revolutionary product to not only grab attention of a new generation but also some of the older. This propels Apple to world Fame and Stardom. The struggling artist now has reached the goal it longed for.

However, Apple has not learned the consequence of Fame; Emulation a...

A patent on the LOCATION of a MOVABLE WIDGET?

They probably also invented placing a laptop computer on top of a desk.

The only non-sleazy part of Apple is the part someone bit off in 1976.

Samsung GS3

Well I just ordered my 32gb Galaxy S3 at 2:20am last night. (they weren't ready at midnight even though the said it would be available online on July 1st. They begged off that claim by saying the meant PST)

Anyway.... is there reason to be hopefull that 4.1 will come to the GS3 any time soon?

Apple seems like a spoiled brat

It seems that Apple cannot compete against Android on the open market that they must sue everyone for every little idea they claim they invented, and will not stop until they achieve total and complete World Domination of the Smartphone and Tablet Market.

Once a map is downloaded where do you find it on the phone?

I downloaded an area of the map of where I live.
I went to the Astro file manager, clicked on the folder called Download, anyway, I can figure out where the downloaded map is!

The NFC Finals: Google Wallet vs.TecTiles

Among technology's previous generation of Next Big Things, we heard a lot of talk about the potential of NFC (Near-Field Communication). Smartphone manufacturers were excited enough to start putting NFC on over 40 production models in 2011 alone -- despite the fact that there were very few real-world applications. Google tried to jump-start NFC with an ambitious Google Wallet project, and Samsung's recently unveiled TecTiles hopes to make app-loving users excited about the possibilities. http://su.pr/2n78cE

Galaxy Nexus looks like it's gonna rock-Has almost everything you'd want

Has pretty much everything I'd need, and I'm loving the 4.7" screen... a couple things some may miss might be the Predictive Text entry, an FM radio, and a Memory Card Slot, but I think I'll be able to get over it if this baby operates as smooth as I'm hoping on Androids 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
