Should I switch from the Moto Razr v3c

I was thinking of switching to to 8300. I like the Razr, but am not happy that my keypad is starting to come loose and Verizon says they cannot tighten it. They told me to put in an insurance claim but that will cost me $50 to get a new one. It was not loose when I originally got the phone. I know this was an early complaint about the phone. I find that many times when I press a key, it does not register or I get the wrong digit. So what do you all recommend. Is the 8300 a good replacement? The downside I see is that my moto bluetooth uses the same recharger as the Razr, you cannot put the 8300 on vibrate from outside the phone, and the 8300 is bigger than the Razr. I don't consider these a reason not to go with the 8300. I only ren...

The Razr has several known issues. People buy that phone for the cool factor, I must admit, it looks awesome. But function is lacking on that bucket. The 8300 is a far superior device from a function standpoint. I know from the inside. If you can get the 8300 at a decent price, get it. Problem is, you might have signed a contract on that RAZR, and after 15 days, you cant trade it out for a different model. Youd have to buy the 8300 at retail. How long have you had the RAZR"?

Thanks for replying. I did sign a contract on the Razr but it runs up in later this month. I did not get the Razr for its looks but its size. It reminded me of the Moto Startak but in functionality I am not very satisfied. I would be able to get the 8300 at the one year update price but I wonder if I should wait (not renew my contract yet) for it to go down. I bought the Razr at it's first price and now it sells for $69. I wonder when the first price drop will come out for the 8300?

Yes, you should switch. Razr is crap, simply put. Went through 5 in a 6 month period. One of the worst phones ever. 8300 is not perfect, but, it is a much better option than the Razr.

Definitely switch. I've had a ton of different phones over the years (not just LG and Moto)... but the LG VX-8300 is by far the #1 favorite phone I've ever owned. I sleep with it sometimes. Not quite as kinky as it sounds, but it puts me to sleep with the killer mp3 (and or wma) playa !!! luv it almost as much as the wife... gee, no double meaning there (well not much) ๐Ÿคจ ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks,
I think this weekend I am going to switch. I have read about a bluetooth problem, but will try it with my current MOTO 500 to see how it works. I am sure that a software upgrade with fix the bluetooth problems as the Razor had them also, which were fixed in a software upgrade. I use bluetooth just for driving anyway, I don't think the technology for bluetooth does work that well anyway. Maybe in 2 or 3 more generations they will get it working. I don't know if I will live long enough to see it, but we should be able to just put the headset on and be able to make calls, without the phone. But I am one of the few who believe the cell phone should only be used as a phone since I do not have to use it for business.
Who would have...
