Well if you read the forums here. This is the biggest problem with buying an unlocked device. We cannot nessarly support the product. This is something that is going to happen with any carrier.

You got to be kidding me! You are going to buy a sim card from ebay? if its been used its of no use to you it is way way easier to get one at a store many even give them away. If you get burned on this one its you own fault. it is one thing to buy a phone. but a sim is an even bigger risk.

There is delayed billing it does exist nothing illegal about it. when ever you use your phone off a different carrier those minutes can be delayed in being reported. the carrier usually has 45-60 days to report usage. once reported thats when you are billed for it.

This is the problem with unsupported devices. Not everything works. However Vm is a network thing. So if you opt out of txt messaging that would cause your problem. But if they do all the troubleshooting like if your account is set up. Unfortunately since you are using an unsupported device there is not a lot that can be done. You can check the settings on the phone and set the notification on. Not sure how it is on ...

With any carrier no matter what it is generally third party dealers can and many will have secondary agreements. Many former attws dealers did as do cingular dealers do. if you are getting a phone cheaper at a third party dealer there is usually a catch. I am not sure how easy it is to get them you can ask rogers what the settings are but I think mostly they force it to be manually set up. unless something is wrong with my phone I cannot see the settings I tried. They may leave it to an auto update. This is the problem with unlocked phones some features cannot be used. Even though it is a supported device yours is not configured for rogers.
