ahhh... don't be so harsh hoss. Was just in a snippy mood that day. The second quarter was over by the time the post was made. I was just bustin stones... :P
Re: Big Deal?
Sprint, IMHO, did the right thing. Sprint - at one point - had oodles of spectrum it didn't know what to do with.
Re: Vernacular's a big word too...
:D
I never thought people didn't know the difference
the difference between the words "new" and "knew" that is...

Off the top of my head, no. Not until late fall anyway. That would be the CDMA RaZr with the 1.0 Mp camera and bluetooth. That should suit alot of needs.
Don't forget Samsung i730!!
scheduled for launch 7/07.

Ooh... Flirting? How do you know is you're talking to a female? Or wait, are you a female?? :? Guess it doesn't matter much...
Anyways, adilus I was just sayin... you won the debate, that's all... let 'bollucks' be 'bollucks' with they're re-posts... Did I spell bollucks right? Meh... :)
Re: activation fee price change
April 20 would be correct. :)
Necessary?
No need for all that, adilus.
If you were looking to win the debate, you had check-mate about 4 moves (posts) ago... :P
Re: Insurance
:P That is funny, cause I know what you mean with the backslash thing.
I have had what I consider minimal experience with both providers (I've spoken with supervisors and managers in the customer service department's for each). Based on these experiences, though, I'd say Lock\Line is actually more lenient - so to speak - with their policies.
By the way, props on an awesome post, as always, bear. You continue to impress!

I think it's because Sprint may be the only carrier not using MMS.
Unlike the other carriers, Sprint's "Picture Mail" technically isn't MMS, it's a proprietary system developed by a company called Lightsurf.
Sprint has said they are working on interoperability, so it should happen eventually. But I'm not surprised it's taking them longer since their system is so different from everyone else's.
Amazing that you know that. I am humbled by your superior knowledge, as always, Rich. ...

Maybe. That's largely going to be dependant on the exact language of the patent. IANAL, nor have a read the language of the patent, but the article (to me), makes it sound like they're more concerned with the technology involved in billing the services rather than with the idea of prepaid services themselves. The lawsuit was successfully filed against the company responsible for creating the billing system.
Exactly. And may I commend you for being the first poster ...
Re: ~*Just another reason CDMA is the superior technology*~
I'm also a litle surprised at the lack of responses. Prolly cause it's been talked to death... And yes, my statement was that CDMA is the superior technology to GSM - no provider in particular
Re: What phone do you have?
Currently using a GSM Treo 600 (T-Mobile) for work and an Lg 7000 (VzW) for personal. Had the treo for a while, the 7000 is new. I got the 8000 first, but didn't care for it's bulkiness and didn't need the VCAST, so I switched it for the 7000 which I'm very pleased with.

go ahead and rebut if you like - the subject's all I really wanted to say.
(boy this oughtta start a good one :P )
Phones already have this...
Many phones already have this functionality. What's the big deal? VzW and other provider can set phones to 'incoming only' or 'outgoing only.' Also many phones themselves allow the ability to add 'special' numbers which can be blocked or be the only numbers callable (is that a word?).
Close Call Wireless?
Seems like a weak M.O. to me...

Re: Verizon Black Male
No offense, but this is old news.
VzW stated that they were required to restrict the OBEX profile in order to comply with their contractual agreement with Qualcom's BREW (Get-It-Now). Also, they mentioned security issues, but most assume it's the former more so than the latter.
Kirtland and Patrick (a law firm out of California) currently is in class action litigation with VzW regarding this issue - perhaps they'll accept you as another plaintiff.

I would like to field this question, because I don't particularly care for what answers you've gotten so far.
If your contract for a single line is up in September of this year and you're coming off of a two year contract, your upgrade eligability date will be in July (contract is 24 months, upgrade eligability is after 22 months).

Re: Oooo..I want a nice phone, but I'm broke lol
Yeah, the LG 8000 is a bit larger and heavier, which most people complained about. The price differnce is mainly because it's EVDO enabled, meaning it can utilize VzWs VCAST vido clips/3d games, service.
