I have no complaints about it and I have had mine since it was launched. I just can not justify the KRZR to be worth the extra money. Good luck and sorry I was not able to solve your issue

I can assure you this is an isolated event. This model is one that doesnt come back often and my location in particular sells a lot of them. Every model ever carried has defective units its just the complex nature of the product. Are you sure about the KRZR? You would be giving up 3G and screen size and in most places a higher price tag.

Thats what we call a DOA. This does not happen often but some handsets as with most consumer electronics fail within the first few weeks of operation. Your are looking at the moisture indicator and it is red and white checkerd desighn. if it gets wet it kinda smears and turns pink. Your fine and as long as you got the handset from a company owned location your guaranteed in store for uo to 30 ...

Red and white is OK as long as the white parts are not pink. Make sure the contacts on the battery are clean and that the battery is in as tight as possible. Try sticking a little bit of paper in the top between the battery in phone to make sure the contacts are firm. I hope that is not too confusing. Do you get any action. Does the keypad light up or the ...

Re: razr v3 question

in the Motorola forum

When you said an software update is required is this with certain models? I have had several unlocked Motorolas including the RAZR and they have worked fine by simply entering the subsidy and changing data configurations. Thanks for the link!

Re: razr v3 question
Jan 30, 2007, 9:02 PM
in the Motorola forum

Is the handset unlocked? The term unlocked is used to explain service restrictions that prevent other service providers from using this handset. This helps to subsidize cost and many conspiracy theorists believe there is more to it. If it is unlocked it should work. If not it will say enter subsidy code once you turn on the handset with the cingular SIM in it. If it is not unlocked you can get the unlock code ...

Re: What is the difference

It is the first motorola handset to support HSDPA in the US. It will support cingular video. it is truly the update to the V3. Previous RAZRs have still lacked in data connectivity. It also has a larger display and internal memory. The V3i was already out of date when it hit the shelves. This one is a strong competitor for the latest devices sync and the CU500 and provides an option ...

There are two options You can hide icons on any Blackberry by hitting ALT key and pressing the wheel or in this case roller ball. Then select the hide application. They will still be there but you won't see them. Wow that sounds confusing. To completely delete it on the device you can go to OPTIONS, ADVANCED OPTIONS, SERVICE BOOK from there you can find the service book for the account you wish to remove and select delete. ...

Re: Auction 66 - What are your thoughts - Winners/Losers?
Sep 17, 2006, 9:00 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

I think think T-Mobile is going to come out a winner. This is a very vital moment for T-Mobile. The end of the auction does not actually determine if they came out winner or a looser. It is really what they do with the spectrum they have gained. This is the beginning of the next generation of T-Mobile. Their cocoon state if you will. The next year will determine the stability and longevity to T-Mobile. I believe they will ...

UMTS Handset Question

UMTS Blackberry on Cingular?
Sep 14, 2006, 4:03 PM
in the AT&T forum

I have heard a rumor that there will soon be a UMTS Blackberry on Cingular's line up. Anyone know any truth to this? If so what model and is it sure type or QWERTY? Please not sure type and something not as flashy as the 8100 even though that is what I fear.

No you bought one directly purchased through Motorola. Do you shop at Comp USA? They are pretty much the only large retailer to offer direct models that I know of. Only the Cingular L7 has the itunes. The non Cingular branded models do have thier own media player which does allow more capabilities unless you are really into the itunes thing. I will trade you my L7 is an unlocked Cingular Model anyday. ...

Re: How can I play MP3's through bluetooth headset.
May 8, 2006, 5:12 PM
in the Motorola SLVR L7 forum

There is a restriction on this handset that only allows music to be played on a wired connection. The music will not play through a bluetooth connection even with Motorola's stereo headphones. It is a common miunderstanding that I have found that you can use bluetooth. Motorola intends for this to be possible but when itunes and carriers (cingular in this case) get involved certain features are removed and restrictions are applied. Unfortunate but true.

Re: t-mobile now has more coverage!!!!
Nov 1, 2005, 7:11 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

I feel that the new coverage maps on the new rate guides are just a sign of a change in game plan. For about a year we offered our customers true and accurate coverage maps. Even giving them tools to see street level coverage from anywhere. It was more accurate then I thought possible. Unfortunately people believe anything that is printed on a brochure and listen to anyone who uses big words. Everyone freaks out ...

My internal source who works for Nokia claims that the 6010 will be phased out early next year and replaced by 6030. About time! This phone is about two to three years past due. Also the 6101 will be rereleased with Bluetooth. Sorry no Symbian OS in the near future Nokia freaks.

Rumor has it that T-Mobile, USA will release a pink Razr V3 as well as a blue version. I hope this is true but until it is launched (as always in this industry) or a launch date is announced we will not know for sure. I have seen a few articles to confirm this but still feel uncomfortable as to conclude a strong yes it is going to happen.

The 6101 is truly a good handsets (So far) This handset is one of the first in a long time that I wasn't afraid of the first ones sold coming back. In fact I have not seen one come back since its launch. Nokia always seems to consistently produce solid preforming handsets. Even the handset that had issues (3650) Nokia responded. I too would probably have a Nokia myself if we had a simple candy ...

in the T-Mobile forum

The less expensive or "disposable phones" seem to carry the quality issues like weak reception, weak call stability, and other quirkie issues. The V188 is by far the better choice on the low tier line up. The Siemens definitely is our worst nightmare as and is a bad reminder of the Motorola C332 phase. Once again low tier phones are rushed out to shelves with less testing. They can be a good buy if they ...

I believe you can go to my T-Mobile and select downloads for the V3 we do support with littler problems. Make sure web browser settings are adjusted before hand. Insurance is a good idea but if a claim is made the replacement would be our V3(not black). I had a customer that had purchased on and I set it up for him and he was able to get the downloads for his phone.

One difference that seems minor but really important to some is the screen. The V188 has a low res 56k color display. If you use your phone for more then just calls it can be very irritating. The V3 has one of the largest dispays on a more standard handset. The screen is so sharp it appears as though it is projected on to the lens itself. This ads to comfort and ease of ...

I heard that we will possibly launch within 2005 the PEBL, two limited edition Sidekicks, and a two Windows-based data devices. This information is a little more promising then the earlier info but still subject to change.

Hmmm... Makes a lot of sence. I didn't put the two ideas together. My upper management hears bits and pieces and makes assumptions. I hope this is the case. HTC will support the product they make with a much stronger priority then HP did. Thanks for the clarification. This shows exacly why I posted thiis message.

I have heard through a couple people internally that we have a coule new handsets coming. I have not been able to find any information on the folling phones. Anyone know anything please let me know. This is the wireless industry so nothing is postive unless it has already happened. I have heard about an HP device with the nickname "wizard" I am almost 100% sure that we will carry an HP device late this year. ...

They didn't drag the launch of the HP6315 for too long. I thought it was rather fast but you see what happened. I thought HP would have done a much better job, or atleast pomptly resolved issues with the device. This was the first device that could have led HP to corner the US market instead HP took a step back.
