New Handsets!?!?!?
I have heard through a couple people internally that we have a coule new handsets coming. I have not been able to find any information on the folling phones. Anyone know anything please let me know. This is the wireless industry so nothing is postive unless it has already happened.
I have heard about an HP device with the nickname "wizard" I am almost 100% sure that we will carry an HP device late this year. We are continually training reps on the HP 6315 to make sure they are HP familiar. We would not do this unless we had such plans.
The othe is an replacement for the Blackberry 7100t. This one will feature larger send and end keys, a day mode for ease in daylight. Rumored to be 5x brighter. Also a more durable external body...

Do you mean the HTC wizard? Its a new phone that will be out in Q3 that supports EDGE.....

On some of the photos on the FCC filing for this phone you can see a t-zone symbols.
I dont hold much hope for the HP devices. The hw6500 family are going to Cingular. Maybe T-mobile will pick up later like they did the razr. http://davesipaq.com/news/cingular_hp_ipaq_65 15.html

Hmmm... Makes a lot of sence. I didn't put the two ideas together. My upper management hears bits and pieces and makes assumptions. I hope this is the case. HTC will support the product they make with a much stronger priority then HP did. Thanks for the clarification. This shows exacly why I posted thiis message.

dont forget about t-mobile uk! They always pick up more and better handsets than tmo usa. And as we've have come to learn just because our sister over the pond has it, doesn't mean we'll ever get it here.

I heard that we will possibly launch within 2005 the PEBL, two limited edition Sidekicks, and a two Windows-based data devices. This information is a little more promising then the earlier info but still subject to change.

Wow, maybe not til 2006. Maybe they are waiting til EDGE is up and running in all locations.
As for the sidekick 2 thing, I hope its better than the current version. But, thats still a mystery as to why they would make another SK2. maybe it will javaScript support, and a different hardware. Cause if its the same thing, then people might say "I want the Original Sk2".

The replacement Windows Mobile device will be an HTC device. As of right now it doesn't look like a HP6315 replacement won't be available until late Q4 or Q1 of 2006. We will be picking up the PEBBLE and I think that one will be in around October.
And some not so good news for Nokia lovers... we won't be getting any new handsets this year. T-Mobile is only carrying the Nokia 3220 and 6101 until the end of the year.
