Does anyone know where their might be a list of the current EDGE rollouts for T-mobile? Or a list of cities and dates where EDGE will first be deployed when it does come out?

I'm sure T mobile will deploy it over their entire network in Oct but thats just an assumption though.

For those who are interested. There is a good thread over at howardforums.com where people are indicating where they got EDGE. If you read the entire thread you can tell T-Mobile is definitely deploying edge rapidly. Its been recorded at Sea-Tac, El Paso, NY, Philly, Atlanta..etc.

I was informed by an engineer in my market that EDGE is ready and active. They are making final adjustments and the next phones should start supporting EDGE. I also heard the 6101 would support edge.

The Nokia 6101 will support EDGE and in many areas EDGE is already up and running. The strange thing is there is absolutely no official word on this anywhere. On our technical maps at customer care there is no mention of EDGE, but if you look at known network issues there is "planned maintainence between 1:00 am and 4:00 am with brief vocie and date outages expected" in several markets everyday for the last 3 months. It isn't very hard to determine what that means.

Is that why my conversations sound unusually choppy lately? 😕

T-Mobile is currently planned to launch EDGE nationwide on September 1. That is the date but as always... subject to change.

The Houston Market is already lit up and has been for a few months. I have been getting speeds ranging from 76 kbps to 170 kbps and for the most part have been pleased. If you have EDGE enabled devices then you are already all set.

There is "not" going to be a price difference and T-Mobile is planning to charge the same amount as customers are paying now for the T-Mobile Internet. So that is cool news!

Does anyone have a complete list of what current and future T-Mobile branded phones have or will have EDGE?

Thanks!
