So I just received my offer from AT&T today... Definatley excited to get out of the indirect channel.
I was reading through the first page of the offer... and was slightly troubled by this wording..
"your annual targeted at-risk compensation will be between XX,XXX and YY,YYY"
In the retail sales channel... there's no commission cap is there? That's just a targeted amount correct?
Yet ANOTHER samsung rewards thread...
Anyone checked out retail.samsungrewards.com latley? Looks like they're building a new site...
Speculate and discuss.... anyone have any concrete info on a new rewards program coming out soon?

I will refuse to put a customer on the phone with you for this reason. Some reps don't like this. Deal with it.

I doubt anyone else remembers the samsung E-Z Summer promotion about a year or so back. Took like 4 months for me to get my gift cards... but they actually DID show up.

I ended up getting a ~$300 AEM intake, a dynamat trunk kit, dynamat door kit, about 25-30 DVDs and some other random crap.

That's actually what ended up getting me into the industry. That said, radioshack horribly underpays thier employees compared to any wireless job... most indirect small businesses pay more.
That said, i really wasn't too happy at radioshack. I'm not smiling and skipping in the door here either, but it isn't quite as bad.

You can talk a customer out of thier "lower price" pretty easily
So you're gonna upgrade at walmart because they sell phone X for 69.98 instead of 99.99...

I'm not gonna sit on a piece of equipment with a $300 pricetag that he may not even pick up. ESPECIALLY as an indirect... (read: no multimillion dollar team of lawyers) If he never picks that phone up #1 what am I going to do with it, #2 whoever signs for it is on the hook for anything that is wrong with/happens to that phone. No way in hell.

This is an easy one. Activate the phone.
you can still dial *228 from a locked handset... *228 resets the lock code to the default...(last 4 of the phone number you activate it on)

You cannot add insurance to a device after the first 15 days. That means if that ESN/MEID has been active for more than 15 days on ANY account, insurance may not be added. You can add the feature if you want to... but asurion will not honor it.

Simply give him a call every day and inform him of how many sales you lost due to not having phones in stock. Or conversley...
Invent customers. Order phones for them. Billy Torvalds and Suzie Longpants both need 4 of XXX model phone.
Then, cancel the orders and sell the phones.
