Re: G-1.....T-mobile reps please help
thanks. I will pass that on to him. I dont use and iPhone, I use a blackberry curve on at&t. But basically my "lack of knowledge answer" was probably the right one. the G1 has a one year warranty through Tmobile, right? i am pretty sure he is out of his 30 day (or however long) exchange period. I just wanted to see if there was anything I could do in the settings or message settings to help him ...
G-1.....T-mobile reps please help
Hi,
I work for at&t so I figured I would ask those who would know instead of trying to figure it out and possible messing something up.
I have a friend who recently upgraded to a G-1. In the last couple of weeks he has found that his email doesn't always come onto his phone and he hasn't been receiving any of the mms messages that I sent to him. I don't know if it is any mms or just from ...
Re: The fact is...
Ok, this has nothing to do with DISH or whatever the other one is... are you guys in Washington state?
Re: New Data Pricing (non-PDA)
Hey, thanks, i didnt notice that there was a $30 bundled plan!!! I have been working mostly Family plans so I dont get a chance to see the individual line features much!!! Thanks.
Re: New Data Pricing (non-PDA)
The $10.00 data unlimited is for FAMILY PLANS. It is not if the customer has unlimited messaging that they qualify. If the customer is on a family plan with family unlimited messaging they then qualify for the discounted $10.00/line family data.
Re: sundays...
The curtain didnt "rock" Seattle. The officals robbed Seattle. That was a dirty game and even some of the Steelers players admitted that it was not called fairly.
Re: I feel so bad
The worst one that I have had was a mom who came in to cancel her son's account because he had been killed in Iraq. I called in for her, they said they needed to be faxed the death certificate and the lady actually apologized that it took her so long to come in to cancel the account. When I looked at the date, her son had only been dead for 3 weeks, I didnt see that as too ...
Re: clarification....
Ya know what? You are an ass! We work for the same agent and if you worked up here instead of in Dallas, you would know that the Best Buy that we have been talking about is shady and does this type of thing all the time!!! You wanna play little word games, fine, but maybe you should know what you are talking about. I had the day off when Best Buy was selling them early (and Yes, they ...
Re: i reread his post
to my knowledge as an authorized retailer (indirect) for at&t, a phone can have insurance added to it within the first 30 days of the original purchase date and/or 30 days of the handheld being registered to the wireless network. Translated, if a dude buys it on Nov 1st and you buy it from him via ebay on december 3rd, no you cannot add insurance to it unless it had not been registered (activated) to the network in question. ...
Re: TRACKBALL FOR THE BLACKBERRY CURVE
you can also use a razor blade, knife, staple remover etc (an object like this) to remove the silver piece around your trackball which will allow you to remove the track ball itself to clean it... I have found that a qtip or cotton ball with rubbing alcohol work the best for this.
Re: retail sales tax
are you from seattle?
Re: New Hires
exactly and in response to the anti-wikipedia reply, check the FCC approved dates on palms listed here on phonescoop, October 2001 was the earliest approval which would generally put the release to the public in 2002.
even worse that his "corrcecting" me was him trying to sell every customer a VU!! the funniest one was a customer who wanted a SMARTPHONE with a qwerty keyboard (who hates the iPhone b-cuz its full touch screen)!!!! my question here, why even ...
Re: New BlackBerry
there is a pic on Crackberry.com of the price stick, I couldnt read the retail price of it but it had the contract price. we dont even know what we will be selling it for when we get them in yet.
Re: New BlackBerry
the Bold is already for sale with Rogers, $399 on a 3 year (yes, i said 3 year) contract. i hope at&t is selling it for less than that!!!!
Re: samsung rewards site down......
actually that isnt it at all.... the manager in question actually contact samsung rewards and yelled at them (in store) because they had discontinued the Grill (bbq) that he had ordered. Mind you, they refunded his points before he called, but that wasnt good enough.
New Hires
Dont you love it when a new hire (completely new to the industry) knows more than you do about a job you have done for going on 2 years? All day yesterday, I was "corrected" in front of customers and told how I could have made a sale better by a guy who has worked here for 2 weeks.
Not to mention the nice discussion we had about RIM vs Palm with him actually saying ...
Re: "you have iphone?"
had a customer come in today and wanted met o troubleshoot his iPhone. this did not go well. i am indirect for at&t, therefore we get no training on the iPhone unless we buy it or have a friend in COR. Dude gets all pi$$y with me that I know nothing and can do nothing to his iPhone 3G and if I am ever tired of hearing "but the signs say you are at&t, why cant you fix this?" ...
Re: To the people camped here this morning for iPhones:
Shocking i actually have a few phones out and our market is sitting at just under $10,000 in total profit for the day.
Re: To the people camped here this morning for iPhones:
its only funny because it is oh so true. One of my stores up north had 5 people with pillows and sleeping bags when he got in this morning.. did they not realize they were at the wrong store when we a)didnt open at 8 b)have OUR corporate name on the effing building (above at&t of course, but our name is bigger and says AUTHORIZED RETAILER)!!! Get it through your heads, not all stores are the same and NO ...
Re: All my happy thoughs go out
I have had more phone calls than anything about the iPhone 3G. We are an agent, so we dont have it. The two local stores here were sold out with the 2 hours between when they opened early and when we opened, one was out in 15 minutes!!! But the good news is, there are already problems with activating it and even the "go home and finish on iTunes on ur computer" isnt working.
Re: samsung rewards
I bought Ted Nugent tickets, 79,000 point, second row, center!!!! Although recently I have been having a problem when reporting sales that it tells me that the IMEI does not match the model selected so I have about 20,000 potential points waiting until that problem gets fixed, and I hope it is soon, or that 20,000 goes down to what 3,000!!!!
Re: Gross
OK, that makes your store look unclean... not just the phones. Me personally, as a female, I wouldnt take offence to it if my manager just said "hey, make sure you wipe the phones off after you use them, we dont want them to look messy with make up when a customer looks at them" and kind of make it a store policy to just wipe the phone off after you touch it, cuz face prints look just as ...
Re: Washington
well thats just too bad that you work for the same company in the same area
Re: ¿¿¿Am i the only one who gets these kind of people???
It must be something with suncom, cuz I am indirect and I just need one number to pull up the whole account.
Re: If sprint sells nextel
Not just Dobson, its always about "ever since you guys went back to at&t from cingular" all day long.... do people not get that after cingular BOUGHT AT&T wireless, all we did was change the name to at&t????
Washington
Tacoma area, Premier Agent (indirect) at&t
Re: Time for a new job...
Last night, few drinks, sitting in the bar at Applebee's, guy walking by talking on his phone, I just say, "that guy has at&t, its a motorola v365".
Re: Time for a new job...
I have noticed lately that most cbs shows (ie the CSI's Miami, NY and Las Vegas) have the characters switching between blackberry curves and iPhones almost everyother week. its the small things in life that really matter, right!
Re: at&t ownership or foreign investors.
You might try looking to the parent companies SBC and BellSouth. other than that, the publicly traded answer is the best.
Re: Fu*kin Passwords.
technically you are correct. pneumonoultramicroscopicslivoclvanoconiosis is the longest "WORD" in the English language being that is has an actual definition and it is not a nonsensical word.
As quoted from above:
"(On a real quick side note about something DUMB with that word : It is currently the longest word in the world. It beat out "Anglosterechtopitonomoutrouphy" at the 1950 World's Fair in Chicago Illinois. An injunction has been filed by the International Word Committee (IWC) by Dr. Gerald Dean Hobart ...
Re: You have got to be kidding me!
I have had it happen a few times and they rep really hates it when we get back on the line and ask to speak to their supervisor after asking once again for their name and ID number. By the time I get off the phone, an email is already going to my RAE and up the line about it.
Re: I can think of more...
this only started since at&t bought cingular
why did i have to change to cingular if you guys were going right back to at&t
my service with cingular was so much better
*dumbasses, there is no difference between cingular and at&t. there IS a difference between at&t and AT&T wireless... get over it.*
why dont you have the iPhone, the corporate store has the iPhone!!
XM radio
has anybody heard of an xm subscription for a mobile to where the subscriber will get over 170 channels? I have have the 25 channel mobile version, but the customer swears that he saw a 170 channel version somewhere.
any help works
thanks
Re: Ok, for all the r-tards who can't grasp the concept of venting.
seriously, it wasnt a "woe is me" thread as you so ignorantly proclaimed. She was merely expressing that it sucked to be at work on the first nice day that we have had all year. Have you ever heard of seasonal depression? It is actually a weather related MEDICAL condition and in states that have months and months of nothing but, cloudy, drerey, grey, rainy days.... it is nice to have a REALLY sunny day come out of nowhere ...
Re: Nikoletta....
so eastern washington, either tri cities area or spokane/pullman area? not sure mileage from here, but its gotta be on the east side for that one. Maybe even Idaho
Re: which color do you see?
No joke, customer just looked up our store's phone number in the phone book, called I answered, it went something like this:
me: "thank you for calling at&t, this is _______ how can I help you?"
guy: you guys sell phone and service for quest, right?
me: no sir we are strictly at&t
guy: can you help me with my quest internet?
me: i'm sorry sir, I dont know anything about quest internet, you would have to contact quest, I am sure there ...
