That is only if you have an unlimited text plan. So if you have Unlimited Fam Msg or Unlimited Msg on a single line then Unlimited MediaNet is only $10.

I don't work for ATT, but being that at MotoQ is a Windows Mobile smartphone... no, you cannot get media net for 10 on it.

Smartphones require a smartphone data package. The data plans are not the same.

A typical mobile web page is a fraction of a megabyte. on the Q it is loaded in full html.. it also does autsync with an email

On top of that you have the technical end about how the systems connect to the internet. So no, they are not "pretty much the same thing."

If you want data on the Q it is 30 a month. If you have e dumbphone, it is 10

Hmm, sounds like I qualify for the $10/mo MediaNet.

I have 700 min plan for 2 lines, unlimited txt & pix for 2 lines, and unlimited MediaNet for 1 line= Total $120/mo.

So does it sound to you like my acct qualifies for $10/mo Unlimited MediaNet?

NOPE!!! I don't think they will ever lower that. Or at least not anytime soon. This is only for regular handsets non pda... Just like it says in the forum title...

This is what I would try:

Borrow a Non-PDA phone.
Insert SIM
Call Carrier
Tell them you have a Non-PDA phone.
Tell them you want the Non-PDA plan
Hang up, remove SIM, place into PDA phone.

Now, if they have trackers or whatnot, you're SOL, and they'll either attach the PDA plan, or take the non PDA plan off.

Hope all goes well. You might have to provide them the Non-PDA IMEI.

Of course, that would also be a violation of the Terms of Service. The current SIM technology does indeed have features that can report the IMEI in use back to system, and if investgated, there could be financial repercussions.

The financial repercussions would be that any data used would be charged at PPU rates, and you still pay for the unl. media plan.
Might as well just go with no data plan at all.

The $10.00 data unlimited is for FAMILY PLANS. It is not if the customer has unlimited messaging that they qualify. If the customer is on a family plan with family unlimited messaging they then qualify for the discounted $10.00/line family data.

It can be applied to single lines as well. the cost of unlimited data and unlimted messaging is 30 bucks. The customer just needs to be on a current rate plan.

Correct...it's not the $10 package add-on like it is when you have family msg unlimited, but when you figure that single line unlimited msg is $20 then the combined $30 for both means unlimited data is $10 (just bundled w/teh other package). Also, using the standard mobile data plan w/a smartphone limits what you can do on the web. You would not be able to retrieve your email as you can w/the $30 plan.
