if u are using your 10 digit wireless # as your login , you have to change it, your login can beanywhere between 1-50 digits with the EXCEPTION OF *10* digits, most customers that call in change the login ID to their email address or add a "1" infront of their wireless #(example 19215551212 instead of just 9175551212, the password stays the same, and you should be able to view mins, NOTE Be sure to have the answer to your "secret question" as we need to enter he correct answer to access the system to change your login ID. then it should be no problem...

Remember that when you are operating on the battery, everything affects the time the battery will last. Unless you really need the display screen to be super bright, set the brightness to as low as you can stand. This saves a lot on battery consumption. Leave it bright while connected to a power source. Also, when you close a screen this device/operating system only minimize the program not close it so all of those processes running in the background use up energy. I go to settings/system/memory several times daily and close all programs that I am done with to save energy. Do you use active sync? maybe set it to check for messages less frequently. Lastly, when you are done with a task get into the habit of turning off the device immediately rather than having automatically shut down. I do recomend a second battery for this pda. I am able to make it through nearly every day without plugging in, and both batteries charge on the sync cradle. bonus note...closing running programs that you are done with cuts way down on system crashes.

External Antenna?

Okay... Haven't all their recent models, and models from like 3 years ago been internal antenna models? Why change that? Is it really that difficult to make an internal antenna? Side-note: I have nothing against external antennas, I have an e315 and e317, and I don't have too many problems with the antenna.

The external is just to make the signal better so the Nokia 6255i has both internal and external antennas.

Re: Verizon Wireless & RIngtones via Websites

Hi Sugcat: I think you're gonna be pleased with the 7000. It is the best phone I've ever owned. The prior poster is correct, you can't use these websites to buy and send ringtones to your phone. However, you can still get the ringtone for free (or almost free). 1) You can send ringtones to your phone by attaching them to an email. Your phone's "email address" is your cell phone number (with area code) @vzwpix.com (i.e. 3105551212@vzwpix.com) Unless you have a messaging plan with verizon, each message will cost you $0.25 2) Assuming a Windows PC... When you listen to the sample ringtones on those websites, the sample ringtone is saved your PC's cache. You'll find it under: c:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files Sort the file list by type and look for MP3 and/or MIDI files. If your PC has those file types associated with a player (i.e. Winamp), then they may appear as a "media player" file type. NOTE: Windows search will not search this directory for you. You must find the file manually. Move the file out into another directory, and then send it to your phone. 3) If you're planning on playing with ringtones, wallpapers, etc. You should get a data cable and download Bitpim. The cables can be found at Radio Shack for about $20, and Bitpim is freee at: http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/ Bitpim will also make it easier to maintain your contacts list, calendar, etc. Hope that helps.
