Crash and Burn

It seems like I am crashing the system on my 6600 and having to soft reset and burning out the batteries at least 2 and some times three times a day. I have two questions for anyone that can help. I have been testing the 6600 for three weeks and returned the first one for what I thought was battery / power problems. 35 to 50 min. of talk time and three charges a day does not cut it and I consider my self a moderate user either I am underestimating myself or the phone has serous problems. Anyone have better experiences as there Issues not seem to be much talk about it? My two PPC;'from T-mobile could at least last the day. And both my 7135 and 6135 could go for days. Also the soft reset once or twice a day is a pain. The specks say three ho...

I charge the battery on my 6600 about 3 times a day, some times I can make it on 2 charges. This makes a car charger very important!!!

I love my toy and it is worth sticking on the charger when ever I get a chance. It's not a problem with the phone, it just does about everything except whipe your butt.

I am just going to buy a backup battery to stick on half way through the day. Although I can watch a whole DVD from it so that is pretty impressive...

Remember that when you are operating on the battery, everything affects the time the battery will last. Unless you really need the display screen to be super bright, set the brightness to as low as you can stand. This saves a lot on battery consumption. Leave it bright while connected to a power source. Also, when you close a screen this device/operating system only minimize the program not close it so all of those processes running in the background use up energy. I go to settings/system/memory several times daily and close all programs that I am done with to save energy. Do you use active sync? maybe set it to check for messages less frequently. Lastly, when you are done with a task get into the habit of turning off the device immedia...

I just visited eBurn.com (eBay) and grabbed a couple USB Data Sync cables for $8.00 dollars. One for home, work and other.

But like Matman said...turning down the brightness, connection timing withing the email client and so forth helps.

I have have to send mine back 3 times. One would not hold a charge (thus data loss). Then other wouldnt turn the screen on after it went to 'sleep' and the last one just didnt want to turn on.

. I had to finally give up on my second 6600 for poor battery life ..
My new 650 is ordered and set for delivery with in 3 to 5 days I did all the battery conservation techniques that I could find and still lost data by 2 pm .. I loved the functionality of the 6600. I hear of other people who charge and change batteries as much as three times a day and seem to think it is normal. cant use it no mater how cool it is if it don’t run…I watched the battery level drop from 83 percent to 76 percent just sitting on my desk in about 35 min while talking to Vzw service. Has any one else had any better experience? Ps I think I am only a moderate user – 3000+ phone min per months mostly on my I610 – 3 to 6 web pages per day and twice a day email che...

I just think its funy how I cant go anywhere with my 6600 w/o the usb charger, car charger, AND/OR wall charger. I guess mp3s, streaming video/audio, work calls lasting 45 minutes each, bar coding and that cool addicting game Bejewelled? doesnt help. 🙄
