Yelling at me does not make me nicer

Had a cranky old man today on the phone for about half an hour arguing about every single point on his bill. And after I calmly convinced him of the validity of the charges (took some repetition and different examples when it came to the proration part), he fixated on one coincidental detail. The phone had used 14 anytime minutes and the prorated charges were $14. So he concluded (and could not be convinced otherwise) that he'd been charged $1/min! I said no, it could have been 200 minutes and it would still have been $14. Yes, even after I thought I'd convinced him with math.

He finally said "you need to make a decision about this bill." So I said, "all charges are valid. really." So then he asked for a supervisor.. lol.

Me: "Absolute...

Snowday Fun

This happened last year on Christmas eve

I leave for work early cause it snowed.. and its Texas

so i get there and the entrance to the parking lot is elevated from the road which is on a down slope and it's got a snow drift in front of it..

I've gotten stuck every time I've stopped and think I'll never get in if I slow down so i floor it and get thru the drift spinning/fishtailing into the lot

I'm the first person there so i get inside and wait

start time slowly approaches and I'm still the only one there in that department...

two people show up so we're 3 instead of the 15 that are supposed to work that day

and I think if it's only the 3 when the que opens I'm going home

I don't want to be here today

I hate that I have to work on saturdays, my damn head hurts and I'm in the worst mood of the century. I can't stand any of the ****ing customers and I just want to burn down my call center. Some little **** took my chair ****ing chair that I sit in everyday, I have that seat just the way I want it since I'm pregnant.

I want to ****ing slap a bitch today.

Ugh!

So, come to work today, and none of my job essential tools are working, carried over since yesterday. My pay is going out the window the longer I sit here and don't take calls, and no one knows when they'll be able to fix it. So about 5 minutes ago, my supervisor comes up and tells me that if I don't take calls, then I'm going to get fired. So my options are a.) Take calls anyway, spout off random information that I can barely remember off of the top of my head, all the while making my paycheck decrease substantially, or B.) get fired. Decisions, decisions.

HEY EVERYBODY!

Lets buy brand new phones that don't work unless we buy a case for them! That makes perfect sense! Its okay that the manurfacture is just jewing us. Don't worry they'll provide a "pre-selected" case,a nd we all know "pre-selected" means cheap. Thanks Apple I love you!

Anyone here from Virgin?

I work for Sprint (well an outsourcer) but just ported my number over to Virgin because the price is so much better for what I use. The port is complete and my Sprint phone stopped working last night, but my Virgin phone has yet to even get voice service active. I have called their help line a couple times today and they walked me through manual programming. And then someone put in a ticket and said it may take a day or two to get it resolved. That seems like an awfully long time. I've never seen this kind of problem when I'm porting in numbers while at work. Once the port is complete, we program the phone, and it works. Anyway, I was just looking for some insight into the way Virgin works.

Customer wanted to stop phone order ed can't do that have to return phone when received customer got really upset then wanted to complain about rebate this call was 37min told her i would have to xfer her to rebate dept xfered to Spanish care line. ๐Ÿคญ

Insanity is contagious

So..I've only got an hour and change left for the day but I realized that my brain is moosh after listening to some of the idiocy today.

I end up leaving at the end of the day and talking to myself or saying random comments such as:

- "you stupid sob"
- wtf??? idiot
- "lying sack of ish"
etc...

I'm waiting for the day that they bring out the long sleeved jacket for me because my exposure to these morons has degraded my intelligence to a drooling status.

Anyone want to join me for a class action lawsuit against the morons of the world?

IT Risks

So, you guys. Today I've found my second major IT risk at work. Basically, a way for getting through to virtually any website we want. Essentially, the firewall is down. Crazy stuff. Yeah...


My question is what IT risks have you guys found?

My second question is how have you handled talking to IT about these risks?

i love paranoid smartphone guy. it's the guy who can't send back his warranty replacement because it's broken and can't be wiped out.

look buddy nobody cares about your passwords and your contact list. we have better things to do with our lives then worry about your stupid little palm centro or whatever you have.

This totall stoopid b*tch calls and is like "Why is my bill so high?" Now normally, I'd just transfer directly to the billing dept, but I stupidly thought, 'if she's got overages, I could get her to change something on her plan and then get a sale' ๐Ÿ˜ So I look at the account and she's got like 100.00 of equipment charges and the taxes for the equipment on her bill. So I tell her, 'Your bill is so high because you bought some stuff online and had it added to her bill' and she's like "Oh, I forgot about that." ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ I'd really like to shove a Twinkie bomb up her hoo-ha. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

This new galaxy s series phone is legit!! so fast and feels great in my hand... wow. a phone for me to sell that i actually like! just wish it had a keyboard ๐Ÿคจ way better than the iphone feels. ๐Ÿ˜
