If I Hear...

One more customer tell me that they won't upgrade their phone because their "friend" told them that Verizon is getting the Iphone soon I'm going to kick them in the face.

ATT upgrade help....

Whats the number/code thingamabobber to check if your phone is eligible for an upgrade? You dial it in and it sends you a text with the info.

I've not people look at the price plaque and pull the price up out of the clear acrylic to look at it. Its as if they can't see through the clear to read it.

No I CANNOT sell you the iphone...

the recording was right you have to go to a store or online

YEAH the IVR was telling the truth, we really cannot do that over the phone!!


AND just because you want the price doesn't mean I have the prices for all 10 models memorized (6 new & 4 refurb) , or know what your price is without opening your damn account!!!!!

flaming c*nt day or what? required means required. what's the use of having a smartphone without data? no at&t's plans are not $50/month cheaper than ours. if you send in the rebate and then the phone messes up, yes you get a refurbished phone. that's the policy, that's why. fine, try and call a lawyer. i'm sorry my coworker lied to you but you can only get your upgrade date moved up 7 days early, not 8. no exceptions unless you want a smartphone but since it's for your bratty 12 year old, you don't.

*sigh* now that that is off my chest, i'm gonna enjoy my milkshake 😁

Signs you've worked here too long

You can identify the city where a person is from via the area code.

You can identify phones and what carrier they are with at a distance in movies, tv and rl

What should I do?

I have been working for my employer for 8 years now. I have complete job security. But over the course of the past year they have cut my hours so much that I am making $10k less and our benefits keep going up so I am now paying $5k a year for basic health care(no vision or dental). I have an opportunity to go to a job that will pay at least $7k more and the benefits are 150% better and only cost $600 a year. They would also give me $100 a month towards my cell phone bill as well as free Internet. The down side is my commute would be a lot more and I don't have the job security. The job would be basically what I am doing now too and it's still in the wireless industry so I know a lot of the contacts already. Do you think I should risk ...

AT&T

Having worked for att/cingular, i can officially say that they completely and totally suck. anyone that has bought an iphone of any version needs to be given an android phone for free to help alleviate their iphone miseries.

Honesty Is Not the Best Policy

I was at a 54% xfer rate earlier today, so my supervisor told me I can't xfer anymore callers. So the next person needing Tech Support got this:

ME: "Would you like their toll-free number?"

CUST: "Can't you transfer me?"

ME: "I can ask permission to."

Cust: "Uh...OK."

*I commiserate with my supervisor, she stands firm*

ME: "I'm sorry, I've been denied permission to transfer."

CUST: "What do you mean? They do it all the time."

ME: "I know. It's not against policy, it's just that I personally have a very high transfer rate and I can't transfer anyone else. Would you like the toll-free number?"

Apparently I can't say things like that, because my supervisor burst out laughing and then told me to lie next time.

Unlimited anything

Anyone else think that advertising something as unlimited is false advertising. There is always a limit, time, number of ppl that have phones in your country/the world, etc.

Unlimited minutes within a single billing period is limited by seconds in a 30 day cycle.

I know its clever marketing and I'm knitpicking but it bugs me sometimes.

I figured PS may have some ppl that understand, your my support group.

User Manual

No one ever reads the User manual of their device. they would rather get it completely jacked up then wait till the next day and have someone show them how to use their phone. Everything they are shown is in the manual. 👿 People are so lazy. They cannot figure out how to connect their phone to their car's Bluetooth or Sync, i like to make them feel duh when I go out to their car and ask for the ownes manual and read how to do it, and actually get it paired. Sorry I had to vent.

Checkin' My List, Checkin' it Twice...

Some customers are naughty, some customers are nice. When Ms. V_____ R_____ called in and let us know how much she likes us and how much Alltel sucked, I was more than happy to make her 224 overage minutes go away and give her 150 bonus minutes as a thank-you for changing her plan to one that would better cover her usage.

So if any customers are browsing these threads, know this: your tone counts! 😎

..is what I hate the most! 😡

Call after call after call after call.. Thank you for calling.. Ok, done, bye (Customer hang up, there's no time to breathe because another f0cking call will come in!) Thank..you..for..calling.. (Panting)

High call volume=HELL/PAIN/MISERY
