So how's everyone's day going?

I came in at 3 today, and so far I have 0 sales. Normally I would be mad but I've been killing this entire month. I only have to get 3 more phones this month to get my second bonus.

*waiting on my 3 sales* 👀

I think Ill make a GOOD customer story

This older man just walked out the door, and said "Have a good day" to me.. however upon realizing that he hadnt said anything to the young pregnant girl sitting next to me, he stopped, came back to the counter, and said it to her as well, then left.

That was very nice.

"That's discrimination"

This lady just accused us of discrimination because we cannot set her up with a line of service over the phone because we don't own towers in her area.

Eh?

being on the other end...twice...

Two recent stories of being the customer.

First, I took my own phone from my personal account to a service center. Every time I plugged the charger into my Moto 815, it would restart the phone. I tried 5 chargers just to make sure it wasn't the charger. When I went to service, I STILL took my charger along. I come back in an hour and they tell me there is nothing wrong with my phone or charger. I didn't even bother to fight them. I gave my phone to my corporate account manager who took it to someone else. A quick software flash later, my phone is fine. I understand how customers feel, but the difference is the fact that I didn't try to start a fight with the techs. I'm not going to try to make them feel bad because they didn't gi...

Why are customers so f#@$ arrogent?

I just need to vent. What in the hell makes them think that they are so informed. customer walks in strolls write by the counter without so much as a glance at me. Just walks straight to the phones.

Me: Hi how are you today?

Cust: mumbles:

Me: Can I help you with any thing.

Cust: new phone

Me: ok I can help you with that are you already one of our customers or are you looking to start service.

Cust: already a customer I want it free

Me: I'll see what we can do what is your number?

cust: What

Cust: I'm just looking

He turns and walks out. This didn't bother me at first but then I got to thinking why do people think they can understand more about the phones by looking at the fact tags. (in this case the fact tag...

Laughing at Myself

I hate having dealers call us for help... I give them some slack if they were transfered from a Care agent who just doesn't know what the heck they're doing but if they called us directly I don't.

Yesterday...

"Thank you for calling BigPink... My name is Niki may I have your name please?"

"Uhhh, it's Debbie."

"Alright Debbie, can I help you get set up with service today."

"Yeah, for a customer. I'm a Dealer."

"Ah, can I get your dealer code and last initial please?"

"X and it's... uh what's our dealer code... oh there it is... 123456789."

"That was Debbie X as in Xylophone, dealer code 123456789?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, Debbie, can I help you get set up with a line of service for yourself today?"

"What?" Ahh lau...

Assh*les that can't be bothered to pay their bill...and other assh*les

I just had three people that just completely pissed me off, all in a twenty minute time span. I had to deal with two of them twice in that time period too.

First lady comes up, wants to add a line to her account that she got on 7-13. She wants the same features (like 7 things that no one ever gets...lots of money) and she wants a 900 minute individual plan instead of a family plan. Fantastic, lots of money for me.

Then I do the credit check and it comes back that I have to call in to review the existing account. Keeping in mind that the account was opened about a month and a half ago, I was informed by the rep that this douche bag had already managed to accumulate a past-due balance. HOW!?

So I sent them on their merry way to bu...

Dumb-Ass!!!

I'm a radioshack employee, I'm here by myself, but wish I wasn't, Simply for the fact that I wish someone else was here to laugh histerically with me. I had a customer come in earlier. Large hispanic fella...Of course, didn't want help, didn't have questions, and (no surprise) spoke very little English. Was looking at our PrePaid wireless display, more specifically the Cingular Go Phones. Here at Radioshack, we have our plastic display cases for the phones. We have the real phones in the back room. This guy grabs one of the displays, and heads for the door. As soon as I saw him grab it I started laughing. Just before he hit the door, he looks back, as if to say "why are you laughing?" He stole an EMPTY BOX! I hope he gets home, opens it, an...

Tech Writer

Apparently my company needs to hire a designated technical writer to do our paperwork and forms... I think it should be me.

They handed out this thing they wanted us to sign about a new procedure they want us to follow which is all well and good but dear lord it looks like something I would have handed in to my freshman (high school not college) English teacher because I slapped it together in ten minutes and I'm just hoping I'll get a C on it.

The grammar and spelling are acceptable, but it's impossible to NOT have at least somewhat acceptable grammar and spelling when you write on Microsoft Word because it corrects for you but the layout is terrible.

It's in 14 point font, in a Sans Serif font type, which looks more casual and les...

Poll for all retail corporate stores.. or anyone

Ok, in my stores, we CAN take payments, but were encouraged NOT to.

So customer comes in yesterday, older woman.. we tell her all payments are done at the machine, and she FREAKS. Screams about cancelling and going somewhere else, F this, F that. We ask how shes paying, she says cash, we say it takes cash, she says shes not using it, says she wont pay check credit, only cash.. well then, crazy lady, guess youre not paying your bill!

So, question is, who CAN take payments at a corp. store, and do you take cash??

Maybe this'll learn 'em

🤣

I work in a little strip mall in a town that's parking meter crazed. Behind my store I have 5 parking spots for me and my customers. I take up one leaving only 4.

Every day people from the surrounding businesses park in these spots, and despite the repeated signs I've plastered to their car it hasn't stopped. Or even slowed down.

Today was the wrong day to keep it up. I have a headache and am not in the mood to print up a sign and tape it to their car.

So, I called the police department. Every person parked in one of those spots that has not stepped foot in my store today now has a parking ticket waiting for them when they come back outside.

Hopefully they'll spread the word that I'm not messing around any longer. Ei...

A**Hole Customers

This guy has been in and out all week. Had to warranty exchange a phone for him.

Its in his mom's name to start..Once we get him on the phone he lies to the agent to warranty his phone (says he is his mom)

He comes in yesterday to get the phone activated and transfer the phonebook (which I can't do because of the new machine I have, different cable). I ask him if he has all the paperwork..He says yes and goes to get it and I give him the phone to follow all the directions (which is exactly what we are supposed to do). He slams my phone down and leaves before it gets completed..whines on his way out the door about how we screw him everytime...

He comes in today to ask if I can transfer the phone book and I still didn't get the new c...

No Power....

I spent the night last night with no power...(long story, bank error, power company shut me off). Well I called in and got the payment taken care of, and they issued a re-connect. It took them from 3:00 yesterday afternoon to 10 am this morning to get my service restored. Now anytime I have a customer come and gripe because our payment system has a 30 minute lag and their phones may take up to an hour to get turned back on, i'm just going to refer them to the power company's team. "We are not required legally to turn you back on for 48 hours, we do it sooner as a convenience" You know what would happen if we told custy's it'd take up to 48 hrs for their service to get turned back on?!??!?!

3 times today...

I'm a guy. I'm not "hot", but I'm not repulsive either. I've had old dirty men come in 3 times today and say "Yer not so perty as the little girl in here yesterday". To the first, I didn't respond. To the second, I was a little fed up and replied "what I lack in beauty, I make up for in my knowledge of phones and helping you choose the best one to suite your needs". To the third, I said "If you're here about cell phones, let's talk. If you just like to look at girls, I can sell you wireless internet for your laptop and you can look at all the girls you want". None of them bought anything. I think they just came in to look at "the girl". What a sad area I live in...
