Scammed???

Just had a customer transferred to me from escalations. He found out he will not get his $125 port-in credit because he don't know you have to register at the website within 72 hours of activation.Radioshack didn't tell him that.
He said he's walking around the mall last week when a guy from radioshack said, "If you bring your 2 lines from AT&There in Sprint you will have $125 credit for each line."
So he cancelled his 2 AT&T lines. I can't do anything for him. He also said that the escalations rep informed him that telesales can give the credit to him now. Credit will be applied on the 61st day after the activation.
And he don't want to go back to the store because its 2 and a half hours away.

Best Buy Mobile

I've been working in the wireless industry for a while now and I have experience with all four major carriers, but I am looking for a part-time job. It isn't going to be my only job, so I'm interested in something like Best Buy because it seems like a cool place to work and it would fit with my current work and school schedule.

So my question is, has anybody here worked (or currently work) at Best Buy? What was it like? Do you recommend it?

to F off as I wouldn't credit a customers reconnect fee. He had one credited a few months ago.

call center closures.

so i get a text from my supervisor this morning saying taht our call center is closed due to tsunami warning here on the west coast but still had to come back to work two hours later, even though warning is still in effect.

IS THE WORST! how long does it take to get someone on the damn line?! The menu keeps repeating itself in every button you press! I HATE BOOST EVEN MORE NOW!

Austin-area Sprint stores doing away with Mail-In Rebates

They're running it here and I believe Columbus, OH as test markets to see if it causes an increase in traffic in the stores. I hope the change sticks permanetly.

Just had a guy

Who was obviously drunk call me, a Sprint rep, to activate a Cingular gophone (it's that old that it says so). Being the great rep that I am, I educated the customer hat we cannot activate it, gave him AT&T's contact number, and managed to convince him to may the total balance on his bill, which was a month and a half overdue.

I don't know why I feel a little guilty.

Direct Sprint care reps and retail store reps....

NOTATE THE FREAKING ACCOUNT!!!! i am so freaking tired of customers calling, saying that they were promised something, told something, and there are NOOO notes whatsoever. the only thing i see is were the account was accessed. TAKE A FREAKING MIN AND PUT SOMETHING, ANYTHING, ABOUT THE INTERACTION YOU HAD WITH THE CUSTOMER!!!! DAMN!! ๐Ÿ˜ก


it's like 3rd party Sprint reps get worked way harder than direct reps. feels like you guys get away with anything ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ˜ก

Indirect reps and chargebacks...

A question for all my fellow indirects...
Does your store have a policy where you charge a customer for the retail value of their equipment if they cancel service and you get a chargeback? If so, how do your customers react when you tell them this at the point of sale?
My boss and I disagree on how common this policy is among stores, so I'm trying to get a feel for what other stores are doing. Thanks!
