Is it bad when....

a customer wants a USB Internet card but you know they will wrack up overage. You tell them they will wrack up overage, but they want to get it anyway. Then the only reason you sell it to them is because their billing cycle just closed and you know they wont see the chargers for over 2 months and they are too stupid to call in or check for the overage the will most assuredly have before its too late for them to cancel.

I hate churn because I REALLY tell people what they are buying when I sell them something. I hate it when they don't listen to me.

Super Avail

I'm from telesales. I just got Care transfer priority. More than an Hour without a call. Average of 7 calls per shift while my other teammates have at least 25 per day. 😳

I will not give you the yearly upgrade punk

A cust started the call rushing me to check his account saying he was "promised" he can upgrade every year. He upgraded his primary line month of May last year. He can't tell me the month or year he was told. He just want me to check the notes.
"Oh I can see Mr Customer you started this account 2008 and there is a long list of notes here about payment arrangements, suspensions and calls to retentions department. And you refuse to leave your grandfather plan which is 60 bucks for 3 lines? So why are you demanding to be a premier customer? So let me give you a run around because I hate you." 😈

Should the merger of AT&T and T-Mobile be allowed to go through? Yea or Nay?

changing definitions

Always changing something...

The sales practices we have been trained to use are now considered sales fraud. That's Sprint's prerogative, but to claim it won't affect our SV to do things the new way... that's BS. I predict higher handle times and adjustments, as we scramble to keep our SV above goal.

New Call Center in Coos Bay, Oregon

It hit the news that a new call center is going in at Coos Bay, Oregon. Currently Sprint has a contractor site there now.

3 days after the announcement it is the rumor there that 175 present employees have already sent in their resumes to go there. Driven by low pay and no respect is considered to be the driving force behind this.

Time will tell and should make for some interesting interaction.

If the AT&T/T-Mobile merger goes through...

Sprint will be the only national carrier that doesn't have the iPhone.... way to be competitive.

I've been working in the wireless world and using phonescoop.com for so long, but I never realized there are forums here and that I have access to them. Sweet!

Working for ATT corporate vs Sprint corporate

Hi,

I just wanted to get some opinions from people working for each of these companies. I've had offers from both this week, as well as a couple dealers.

Just wanted to see the pros/cons and overall levels of happiness with each company from a current employee's point of view so I can have better insight as to which to choose.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Apple Zombies & Me

I am new to the cell phone industry but with the short time I have spent selling phones there has been one constant. APPLE CUSTOMERS ARE ZOMBIES!! If you work for a company that has Apple products and you have had one of these zombies enter your store or pass by your kiosk try to sell said customer something besides an Apple product.

Just like the typical zombie who only craves brain when you would much rather them eat a nice steak like the rest of us, the Apple zombie craves only Apple products. When presented with something other than what they crave, even if it is something better than what they are looking for, i.e. steak over brains or Droid os over Apple os, said customers response will be no different than your typical zombie rea...

Worst Phone Ever Per Carrier

In your opinion, which is the worst phone ever for your carrier?

As a Sprint rep, I feel it's my duty to nominate the HTC Touch Pro 2.
