I HAVE WORKED IN THIS INDUSTRY FOR THE LAST YEAR AND 9 MONTHS, IM MORE THAN BURNT OUT. I HAVE SEEN A SIDE OF HUMANITY I DID NOT KNOW EXISTED. I HAVE DEALT WITH PRETTY STUPID PEOPLE BEFORE IN OTHER INDUSTRIES, (MEDICAL,BEVERAGE,CLOTHING) but never like this. wireless industry customer really just deserve the award for:
1. most stupid
2. most rude
3. uninformed
4. uneducated
5. pathetic
6. sad
7. Did I mention most stupid.

I lost respect for people in general, regardless of race ,sex, economic status, education, and age.
most of them behave the same way.....

Idiots

I just had a girl come in wanting the ULTIMATE VZW package. She wanted a new 5-line 6000 minute Family Share Select plan with Ringback tones and VCast on all five lines.

They wanted the LG 8300. Right now, those are buy one get one free after rebate. I went a step further and offered buy 2 and get 3 free after rebate (for those pondering the math...and extra phone free after rebate).

I didn't expect the credit to come back ok and when it did, I almost couldn't control my happiness. That's some good commission right there!

I'm set to go and the lady comes back with "So how come when my mom upgraded her line the other day, that phone was free and now you're saying its $100? I think you're trying to f**k me over." I mentioned ...

Top 10 reasons why I will never work indirect ever again...

Right now I work indirect...it bLOWs...
here is why:

10. the employee discount is shameful...
9. we are so limited as to what we can do
8. u always have to explain to the customer wtf it means
7. there are always a ridiculous amount of shady ppl in management
6. u don't get cool shirts or name tags 😢
5. they always want u to go out of your way to hustle ppl (like a crack dealer or something...)
4. the commission is no where NEAR as good as @ corporate
3. ur manager will at one point or another will screw you out of your commission
2. they are ALWAYS under staffed and you end up working slave hours
1. ur store looks bootleg.

I work indirect now... but as soon as the summer is over i will kiss this horrible place...

Customers that Dont have a CLUE

So i had a lady that was waiting for her T mobile phone to be replaced by the manufacture. She comes in (high as a kite) and asks me to just give her a new phone. I said I can not do that without money, she said "I want it for FREE" of course I said " Im sorry maam, I cant do that" she said she just lost her 50 cents in the pay phone and rudly asked to use my landline (which was not working at the time...) I said it doesn't work, she said "well what are you good for then" What a hag.. Then she said can i use your cell phone, and i said "Im sorry maam, since you were rude, you can not" so as she was leaving i said in APU on the simpsons voice, "Thank you Come AGAIN"
What a hag....

This or That

Ok, so I'm really friggin bored.

So I figured i'd try and bring back a game I used to play in the forums of old. It's called this or that.

Basically, this is how it works, You get two options (this or that), the first person to reply with one of the choices gets to pick the next question. You can ask anything, as long as it follows the format...

So... to start it off...

verizon or cingular

QUAALCOM!

So did no one read that article? Is no one concerned about new phones for either CDMA or 3G for an indeterminate time?

I was just wondering....

This is in reference to a news article in phonescoop yesterday concerning Quaalcom. I don't do block quotes, but I'm sure it's on the front page.

So it's gonna be dead today....

Right. So. I'm driving to work, my store is located near a traffic circle in downtown. Usually my ride to work takes me through the circle, and right to my store... Not today.

Apparently, there is some sort of bullshit community event going on today. The cops have the circle blocked off completley for one block... Meaning of course, that the road my store is on, is currently closed.

I honestly cannot see how I'm going to do any business today. They have literally shut off traffic to this store...

Is it just me...

Is it just me... Or am I witnessing a daily recurrance of Murphy's Law.

I come into work at about 9:45 to open at 10:00..

I count the drawer, I walk around and make sure I have some phones to sell.. go outside and smoke a ciggerette, and come back inside.

I then proceed to sit around for the first hour or so... Then it happens.

Fedex, UPS, DHL, and the mail show up simultaniously. I start cracking open boxes and recieving inventory. Around the time I'm halfway through the second box... not one, but twelve customers walk in the door, all of them in a rush... except of course for the first one through the door.

That first customer through the door will undoubtedly have one of two problems.

1. I broke my phone, I need an ear...

I finally got a story for Shop Talk...

Yesterday, the wife of a customer of mine came to the kiosk with her 10 year old daughter. The daughter had an LG 8300 w/chaperone...and she goes to a Catholic school. The wife was physically very upset because someone had sent he daughter a picture of a nekked black man with a johnson down to his knees...

Got a little chuckle...the mom didn't erase it from the phone...but I did.

Changed the number, needles to say.

I'm sure y'all have seen it before, but this just made my day yesterday.
