Sometime in May

So sometime in May this guy will SHUT UP AND LET ME SPEAK. I'm not holding my breath. We close in an hour, I'm really hoping he gets to the point before that time because if I'm still on this call at 8 I'm going to fat-finger it.

He's got a defective Bluetooth headset, I figured that out in the first twenty second. He's spent the last 20 telling me what the headset is doing wrong.

I don't care.

Just let me tell you want to do and we'll finish this.

Yeah...OK buddy...now shut up and listen

Guy bought a phone in April. I asked if he had plans of sending text messages. He said no. I explained the cost of paying per message and the packages VZW had available.

Guy comes in again at the beginning of May. He has a new GF using a Tracfone. It's cheaper for her to text than talk apparently. He asked about txt packages. I explained the 5, 10, 15, and 20 dollar options (10-20 unlimited between VZW with different amounts for NON VZW). I also explained the select calling plans for unlimited txt for everyone. I told him exactly what he would get for his money. He said at the time "I won't send more than 500. Give me the $10 package." He guessed wrong.

Guy comes in today (trying very unsuccessfuly to act tough) and sta...

😢 First i would like to say it was my fault , so here goes , customer drops a phone off 4 weeks ago to get fixed , we send it off to the repairer , phone comes back we call him and tell him to come on down and pick up his phone , all good .
Me ( a complete and utter retard ,) I give his phone to another customer who had the same model , same fault , and would you friggin believe it had drop-ed his phone off on the same day to the wrong customer . Oh woe is me , my life has gone down the ****ter .
My customer who has a right to be pissed , is putting on the presure as only a pissed off lawyer can do , OK I can fix this . I call the customer who has the wrong phone , tell him the good news , this guy is ok , he will ...

So you want a job here?

Ok, that was just retarded. We don't normally have to deal with applicants because we're a call center. This guy was an idiot.

His friend wanted a job here it seems so he jut called the 800 number and then, when I got on the line, bished me out because our audio menu stinks. Well he said it did, it wasn't giving him an option for out HR department because there isn't one.

Apparently his friend just figured that if you call T-Mobile you could get a job. . .

So then he starts asking me "Well how did you get a job with T-Mobile."

He was snotty and rude and I said "I walked into the building and asked for an application. You can't just call a number." At that point I hung up on him.

So you just mashed buttons?

She would not shut up.

She wanted to add minutes to her pre-paid account.

She didn't know how to deal with the audio menu.

She would NOT hear me when I said (over and over) that I haven't got access to her account and am unable to assist her.

I'm a bad person.

do you hate your job with a passion?
i don't think i've ever seen you post anything that didn't involve a mad/stupid/angry/black customer.

if you do hate it, why don't you quit.?

Just Right

I think I'll give you another 'fluffy-bunny' story because I can. . . ha ha... and this was very funny to me because I don't normally do this.

The customer care agent was very nice, he called because he wanted to make sure we had a data cable for a specific phone. The customer was ordering a 6133 so he could connect it to his computer to use as a modem while traveling...

Well long story short (because I am over on my break) I ended up helping care pick out a new phone for him, and order the bluetooth accessories and he was very sweet and very happy by the end of the call and I felt all warm and fuzzy inside because I helped him fix a problem and really get the right answer.

And another... this was priceless (and actually very fun...

She deserves a smack...

Had about 5 customers waiting to see me. 4 of them were just in for PP time and the one at the desk was just about finished.

This girl walks in trying to be Paris Hilton or some crap like that, the big sunglasses, exposing a good portion of her body, etc. She's...eh...ok...but nothing special...but not in her mind.

She walked right up to the desk...while I was finishing with another customer...and slammed down a busted TREO 750 on the desk and starts demanding another one. I thought my customer I was helping was going to jump out of his chair and kick her dainty little a$$. I simply looked at her and said she would have to wait her turn before I could help her but it wouldn't be too long. She comes back with "NO. GIVE ME ANOTHE...

PROTIP

#1: Customers do not flip out quite as much about playing full retail for a phone if you call it "manufacturer's list price". Try it. You'll see.

Have any good pointers for folks? Drop your nuggets here.

Dear customer, I am sorry that you are an idiot...

lady comes in here and is like "do you sell the disk for the dash?" i tell her that we only sell it with the phone and we dont keep extras. then she complains that this is ridiculous and she cant seem to understand why customer service won't send her a disk and that she shouldn't have to do insurance or anything we should just give her a disk. Then she tries to convince me that I can go and burn her a copy...not on these computers... THen I ask her if she has tried to download it from our website. SHe says..."yeah but I shouldn't have to go through all that!"

WTF LADY this was ur fault...I've never EVER had a customer lose the disk to a phone. You only need to use it once and then after that you can lose it if you like..i guess.

It ma...

You asked for it.

Here's a quasi positive Niki-story.

She ordered a Mini SD card for her Sidekick 3... we sell them in adapter packs (it's cheaper and easier to stock) so the car comes as a Micro card with both Mini and Standard Adapters...

She tried to put the Micro card into her Sidekick... obviously the device didn't recognize it. She was very upset and called us saying we sent her the wrong card.

It took me 10 minutes to get her to understand how to use the Mini adapter. (You take the little bitty, one, the thing that's like the size of your pinky right? Got that one? Ok, get the middle sized one, it's like the size of your thumb nail? No, not the big one, that one is about the size of a large postage stamp, put that one down, you want the m...

Changing numbers

I had a customer call in earlier wanting to change one of his numbers.
Ok no big deal.
If his number was 555-1234 and his sons number was 555-1235.
He wanted to change his sons number to 555-1233.
He wanted it to be one less than his instead of one more than his.
I tried explaining that I could get his son a new number however I could not pick the number for him.
He could not understand why not.
It took ten min of me explaining that someone else already has the number he wants and two phones could not have the same number.
At the end of the call I asked if there was anything else I could help him with.
And he told me that I had not helped him in the first place and he was going to call someone who could get him the number he ...

wow that was interseting

i just had a couple walk up boasting about how good their credit was. they wanted to set up 2 phones with me (verizon.) They wanted the chocolate. So it comes time for me to run their "good credit," and as no surprise to me it came back with a $400 deposit for both lines.

So i tell them this, and they hardly spoke any english, so when i told them they looked at me like i was crazy. I ended up explianing to them how the deposit worked, how much they would need today, and also that they get the deposit back in 12 months as long as they make their payments on time. Swear to god, i explained this at least 4 seperate times, then it finally clicked in their heads.

Then they started to speak spanish to eachother thinking that i had no ...
