Same thing

I just got my first "This phone hasn't work right from the beginning." call!

"It never holds a charge, and it doesn't always ring when a call is coming in..." and the list just kept going and going and going.

She didn't have the faintest idea what phone she actually had and couldn't even answer the straight questions "What color is it." but instead went off about about the antenna used to have a cap but that came off and I paid $50 for this phone and the battery never held a charge with anything...

It comes back to the age old question... if the phone was trouble from the start, why did you wait 6 months to call us about it?

How does that help?

So this woman wants to order a battery for her phone. Great, I can totally help you with that. Gladly.

I have a process that I have to go through, however, you have to let me do my job.

Interrupting me every other word while I'm trying to read the legal text that I am REQUIRED BY LAW to read you will NOT make things go faster... even if you interrupt me every five milliseconds to tell me to hurry up because your battery is dying.

And she had some guy in the background being a real d!ck... "Come on lady, just send the battery." because I really don't want to sell you anything (never mind that my job depends on me doing exactly that.)

Why do people think that repeatedly pointing out that they're in a hurry will help things along?...

we're not the only ones

I just made a bank run and really couldn't believe the crap the poor bank tellers have to put up with. It's just as bad as customers that come into the cell phone stores. I'll bet that most of them are the same customers.

From what I could gather, one lady was claiming that she didn't take the money out of the bank and that someone stole her money. I overheard the teller saying "ma'am, we've already reviewed the records and the security tape from the ATM machine. We have taped evidence that you were in fact at our ATM machine at the time this money was taken out."

The other guy was upset because the ATM gave him USED MONEY. The teller was digging through her drawer to find new bills, but the guy just kept complaining.

I gue...

annoying customer story

So...like 2 weeks ago this lady comes in (w/ a heavy accent) wanting a free phone. She explains that she already has a phone but it is under someone else's name. I did a credit check and she was approved to get her own phone with no deposit so i told her we could work something out. Then...she goes, can i keep this #? So i explain to her the transfer of responsibility stuff and then tell her that if she were to do that she would not be eligible for a free phone. Her response? "No free?" No, no free...So she leaves. She comes back a few days later to ask me for a free phone again. Once again the answer is NOOOOO!!!! No FREEEEE!!!! And then she leaves. Comes back a couple of days later and does the transfer of responsibiity. We had to do part ...

Hang Ups

I want to slap people who just hang the phone up when they don't hear exactly what they want to hear.

I just had a lady who wanted to pay to her account (which she's had for less than a month and is on a probationary style of account.) who slammed the phone down on me the minute I said that she had to pay up front.

Why do people think this is acceptable?

It takes a village to raise a child...

and apparently it takes multiple people to set up service.

I hate the calls that start with
Cust-"Well I have my friend here and he/she wants to set up service."
me-"All right, did you want me to go over phones and rate plans with them."
Cust-"No, I'm gonna pick out what they get we're just putting it in their name."
HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE???
me-"Okay, I will need to gather the personal information from them when we finish the order and go over the necessary terms and conditions with them."
cust"WHY!?!?!"
Oh gee because they want it in their name! and you know FRAUD is illegal!

I'm also getting really sick of the people who don't have all the information we need but think if they use their social, their friend's driver's ...

It's sunday...

It's sunday. Yesterday was saturday. The day that follows saturday is in fact sunday.

So my day started with me waking up at 9:00. This is bad, I work at a store thats an hour away and I have just woken up at 9 AM.

I call my boss and let him know I'm going to be late. He isn't too happy. I get in my car and proceed to haul ass to work. About halfway there I realize... Hey, I'm not open till 10, I call my boss back and tell him I read my clock wrong and I'll indeed make it there by 10.

I get to the store, the first 45 minutes is pretty dead. I get a call from my boss asking me to send my timesheet in again because he didn't get it. He thanks me for coming in an hour early. It's sunday. We don't open till 11.

So I take a...

DEVIL CHILD!!!(venting and long)

There is this 10 or 11 yo girl that comes in once a week with her grandmother to look at phones and complain that she wants another one. she is the most spoiled and annoying little brat i have ever met. she usually calls her father and starts yelling over the phone at him. she also spends her time yelling at her poor old grandmother.
She treats her grandmother like total crap and it pisses me off. one time she dropped her grandmas keys and told her to pick them up..( shes like 90 and cant move very well) then yesterday she went outside to yell and scream at her dad again about how she wants him to buy the chocolate at retail, she was literally screaming on the phone. then she comes back in but leaves the cell phone outside and tells the ...

LETS GET SPECIFIC, HERE IS SOME WALMART INDERECT HATE

Okay as a corporate employee, i have to stand on the side of the fence who hates on the agents. I have two very close friends who work for indirects both of them different carriers, not so much a problem with them, they work for a living and have larger hurdles to jump when assisting customers.
However, we have a huge annoyance within walking distance, !~WALMART~! Their employees have caused every issue imagineable and those that i am sure i have not yet, from activating partner lines in different markets, or they have phones that have been discontinued in our store for a good reason, not to mention they will have the same phone that we have cheaper because of their buying power. Any way, they are not trained on anything that has to do...

Indirects...

...I mean, I understand, everyone has to make money somehow, but come on... Really? I just dealt with four escalations in a row, literally one after the other, because a local indirect agent either A) broke their phone, B) sold them a used phone, or C) told them to come to us with their brand new broken equipment because, and I quote, "They said you could put the two pieces back together".

Grah!

2. cust with long nose hair
3. old people that dont understand cell phones(dont get one)
4. custs that feel they can get what they want by complaining (there is no compromise, take it or leave it)
5. Custs that think your their "buddy". I really dont wanna know how you got a rash down there(just threw up in my mouth a lil)

very improper ratios!!!

How many of us really are not very impressed with the ratio of not so physically appealing customers to those of the customers that you would just love to see slip and accidentally lose all of their current attire? (purposely not gender specific)

Old people that SUCK

This old guy and his wife came in. They wanted to upgrade to new phones.

1. He wanted a lower price on his calling plan. They had an OLD VZW plan that was 34.99 on the primary and 20.00 on the secondary sharing 300 minutes. He wanted me to just change the price of the secondary line to 9.99. I explained why it wouldn't happen. His response: "That's what I want and if you won't do it, I'll find someone who will."

2. He also brought in his large-digit home phone from Walmart to ask if I could put his cell phone number and plan on one of them "Because I can see the numbers and this only cost me $10.00".

3. I explained that the home phone wouldn't work with the cell plan. I informed them that I could keep their bill exactly ...
