Some people...

make me want to pull my hair out and do heavy drugs.

I just get a phone call from a woman saying someone in my company messed up and now she has $5000 bill due. I look at everything and see that one secondary line of a family share plan was put on its own account 6 months ago. It was corrected before the first bill hit. No foul there. They wouldn't have been billed for anything inappropriately.

Come to find out...our mistake was that she signed up for the $10 text package on 2 lines that allows unlimited text and pics between VZW phones and 500 to non-vzw. Her kids used thousands upon thousands of INSTANT MESSAGES and went over their 500 in one day and ran up a huge bill...soooooo...NOT OUR FAULT! I remember the customer and ...

Not sure how to feel about that one...

I just had some little kid come in that couldn't have been more than 7. He handed me a cingular phone and a $10 Sprint PP card. He didn't really say anything. I'm a VZW exclusive agent. From what I gathered, someone gave him an old phone and he gathered up enough change to buy the wrong $10 card for his phone. I felt bad, but I couldn't do anything for his situation. The poor kid probably just had his day ruined.

My question is this: Where the hell were his parents? He walked in. There was no car out front. When I have kids, I will make sure they don't have to face a similar situation. The whole thing kinda bugs me...

I hate greedy custys

Custy: I bought this charger out of state and now it's broken. What can you do about it?

Me: ...Nothing?

Custy: You can't give me a new one?

Me: Not for free.

Custy: Why not? I didn't break it on purpose and I got it from a VZW store...

Me: But it wasn't OUR store.

Custy: Aren't all VZW stores the same?

Me: No.

Custy: Well, can you at least give me a discount?

Me: 25% is the best I can offer you.

Custy: Really? That's it?

Me: ...That's not enough?

Custy: Well...whatever. I'll take it.

Me: *thinking* @sshole...

iPhone: Honest opinions?

I haven't had a chance to swing by a Cingular shop in my off time yet (and doubt I'd be welcomed in my uniform), but I've made alot of speculations about the device and its capabilities. Alot of those have been echoed by the press and tech-geeks the world wide, so I'm just hoping to get some non-biased opinions from people.

Ignore the chic of having the iPhone, the hype behind it, and please, evaluate it as a phone, a media device, and a "PDA".

Now, what do you think?

just great

so after a late night last night of partying a little too hard... i head into work at around 1:00 PM, only to find out that it is quarter end for my company and that i have to do inventory

now this normally would piss me off too much, but i have to do it all alone, the guy that opened with me will not come in and help because he is going to relax at his house, the other guy that works here is working at his other job tonight, and to top it off my manager just so conveniently is on a camping trip through the 3rd.

which leaves me to do it alone, i close at 9, then i have a 2 hour inventory to do, so my 8 hour day just tuned into a 10 hour day, and im hung over 👿

It's Sunday...

...And this mall is utterly dead. I forsee no sales to speak of.

My only hope for entertainment is for a custy to get fresh and I have to call security and watch them argue. One can only hope.

what part of PREPAY did you not understand????

Girl calls in saying she got a phone at a yard sale. Wants to know how much $$ she needs to start prepay service. I tell her about the activation fee and initial calling time cost.

She shows up, we activate the phone, and she asks how much time she gets with it. I tell her "however much you want to purchase" then asked how much she wanted to buy. She tells me $30. OK...no problem. I get her set up and when I ask for the money, she says she didn't bring any.

ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME???? I told her on the phone how much to bring with her and she brought no money. Who would think they could bring a phone in and we would just give them FREE CALLING????? She said she was out of work and didn't have money. It may be a few mon...

and it keeps getting BETTER!!!

Just had some ratty teenager come in telling me he wanted a RAZR (I don't know why, but that's what he really wanted). The problem is, I know he's like 15. He rode in on a bike. I asked if he was 18. He said "No, but I got my dad's name and address. Just use his credit and bill him for the phone." I just looked at him in awe for a moment. I told him he'd have to bring his father along (with ID, etc.) and would also have to pay for the phone right away. He responded with "Well such and such a website said you could do that way without him being here. That BS man." I responded with "No, that's the law. I can't give you something on someone else's credit without them being aware of it." He just didn't get it.

It is my day off.

So today is supposed to be my day off. Normally Thursdays I stay up until 2 when my boyfriend gets off work for one of the three short periods of time I actually get to see him.

Last night I went to bed at 9pm so I could get up at 5 to come in today. Why, you may ask, did I do this god-awful thing? Because there is a three-day training class going on that I have been assigned too. I did not WANT to be here at all. I am tired, I missed seeing my boyfriend (who I like a lot better than these farking idiots.) and I am CRANKY.

But a training class, fine.

We're waiting for the training class to start and our trainer walks out and says "We are going to start the class at 8 instead, we need you to all go take calls for an hour.

Are...

Your Phone ###

SEriously, how do you have a cell phone for 2 years and have no idea what your phone # is.
Ok, you don't know it...fair enough, but wouldn't you think they might need it when you come into the store, you might think that could be something you ask for.

I had a guy with a lg phone who locked it. Told him to try the last 4 of #, didn't work. SO I Did an OTA, that resets password to last 4 of cell number on VErizon. Still wouldn't work, i asked him to repeat his CEll number and he did, of course it was wrong. So after about 5 minutes of him starring at me as if I was wrong he finally had a Eureka moment and realized he was giving me his HOME #, then after about 5 guesses we finally got his cell number. OMG... For some reason I hate peop...

A nikoletta moment

So I am helping a 90 year old women by explaining to her why her 8 year old analog phone is getting shut off when another women walks in.

Mean bitchy woman (who just walked in)- My son lost his phone can I just buy a new one?

me - yes you can ma'am I will help you when I am done

So I proceed to help the 90 year old woman and again the MBW interrupts

MBW - (hands me a phone) So can I just buy this phone for 19.99 and be on my way.

me - (getting pissed off) Well that depends. Do you know if your sons line is eligible for an upgrade?

MBW - No hes not. I just wanna buy the phone

me - Ok than that phone at retail price is 149.99.

MBW - Why am I paying 149.99 I have a contact already?!

me - Well we will allow you to upg...

Best service

I am not bashing any service. All cell providers have there areas. Example I live in the DC market and the order of service that I believe is Voice 1) verizon 2)Sprint 3)att 4)tmobile 5)nextel. Data 1)sprint rocks 2) verizon 3) att.

FYI. I have nextel and sprint from work (2 separate jobs) and verizon personnel phone, my wife has att from her work.

What is the order of service in the other major markets.

Need to get my manager back.

I go out for a cigarette, and he has no problem holding down the fort since we do nothing but take iphone requests and redirect people to COR all day.

I come back in and he isn't here...ok? He left the kiosk unattended...so he locked everything up like he was supposed to...fine, i call him and he says he took his lunch break, he'll be back in 20 mins.

Ok..so i get out my keys and a cabinet and boom...alarm goes off...i scramble to shut it off but not before everyone in the mall is staring at me, i have the security guards surrounding my kiosk and the company calling on the line asking for my password...which i dont know of course.

The bastard wont answer his cell so the cops come. All these people waiting around for nothing, pisse...

Kill me...

I just got my very first activation issue with the Apple iPhone. It wasn't pleasant. Activations transferred me to Apple. Apple transferred me to my own queue and then back to Apple and then the guy finally just hung up when I told him he just needed to register for iTunes... This is rediculous. Thankfully, I'm now HAHAHAAHAH!

Let's have a Contest

Let's see who gets the most iphone requests today that you can't fulfill. 😁

I, for one, am thanking Apple for not handing them over to my store.

I'm up to 17 requests since 9am and i have 5 hrs to go.

I'm sure the guys in COR downstairs are hating me by now since i don't believe theyre carrying it either. 🤣
