Okay, my first call of the day today was this:

a man calls in to get international roaming in canada and costa rica added to his bill- he is not happy with some policy re intl service he decides that bec he has been a long time loyal cust that he should get free intl roaming...or else...OMG...he will switch to another carrier...!!! OMG... don't do that... ๐Ÿ™„

Blackberrys VS Stones

These two guys came in with water logged blackberrys. I asked them what happened to them. They explained to me that they where skipping stones at their cottage and thought that the blackberrys might get better distance....... Then they realized they needed them and spent the rest of the day diving for them.


I'm not even supposed to be here today..... oh well two core sales already LOL!!!!!

Account notes.

cst came in with rebate cards and stated they didn't work. Asked if they were ever activated and cst said no, then stated they were never told to call and activate it. informed customer the instructions were on the letter the cards were attached to. After cst handed me the cards, they had an expiration date of July 07. Informed customer they were expired. Cst said they should tell you about that. Pointed out the expiration dates on the cards which are labeled "exipration date" and say when the cards expire.


This will probably be the high point of my day.

Ok so the thread about canada inspired me... what to say to people who ask how much it costs to roam in alaska or hawaii...hmmm, it's domestic you idiot!!! sometimes i just want to say um yeah it's $5.00 per min!! & this has also come from cust svc reps from my own company which i work for **the name of which shall remain anonymous**... ๐Ÿ™„

i need your advice

i am currently a sales rep for an at&t agent. however, i am considering a job with verizon because there are a bunch of openings where i live. anyone working for either carrier...what should i do?

and please don't just bad mouth one carrier or the other. i need legit reasons to stay or go.

also...there are sales positions AND call center positions...HELP!!

Long Hold Times

So we're looking at, yet again, hold times around 5 minutes, going as high as 21 minutes for accessories...

Why are the hold times so high? Call volume? Reps abusing the system to avoid calls? Faulty Website?

No.

It's the cursed software.

It has never (ever) worked correctly. There isn't a week that goes by that we don't have a sup run around saying "Get out of Idiotprogram! They're going to reboot the server." or an e-mail saying "If you have more than five minutes between screens log out and delete your offline content and start over!" Five minutes between screens? Our Average Handle time is supposed to be less than 8 minutes.

How in the 9 circles of hell do they expect us to get through any orders when the minute we ge...

This stupidest thing

I have ever heard come out of a customers mouth, I need to buy a new bluetooth for my phone because everytime I talk to my friend in NY it drops the call. ๐Ÿคฃ now this didnt stop me from selling her a bluetooth, I hope she comes in to buy another one when this doesnt solve her problem.

Anyone at at&t activation call center

Why is it that when my POSII system has an error and will not add a certain feature or even if my server is down and I need at add a feature will half the people from activations tell me that can't add features and tell me to call CC but the other half have no problem doing it. I'm not talking about errors becasue I forgot to take off pay per use socs I have been doing this for a while and know when it simply won't work. Does adding a feature without activation screw with your stats or whatever you call them? ๐Ÿคจ

i just dont understand when a customer calls in, and has a phone problem or a problem with their, and you do everything you can to help them but is is never good enough, then they ask to speak to your supervisor, not realizing that the supervisor will tell them the exact same thing, they think that any time there is a problem with the network that A: we can fix it right away not!!!, B: that we should credit them for their inconvenience not!!!, and C: that if they speak to 1 or more managers that thier problems will go away, that they will get a different answer and that they will get a credit every time they call and complain!, i love working at a call center, but those kind of calls make the job a lot harder than it needs to be! l8ers ...

weird converstaion ( I think)

On Saturday I had the weirdest conversation ever.

This lady came in asked me where do people go to apply to work for t-mobile. i said go to tmobile.com/careers.
lady: where is the store?
Me: you could go to the coporate store, but they will tell you to apply via online. thats what they told me.
lady: i dont care what they told you. my friend works for them and my other friend wants to work there.
me: tells her where is the nearest corporate store. do you want to work for the calling center or authorized dealer.
lady: the calling center, i dont need you attitude.
me: tells her where it is
and she just walks away, and i am like what the heck just happend???

I bet a customer...

He said he could get a Curve for free. I told him sure, if you fine on tell me so I could get one. So he says, I bet you $50 I can get a brand new free curve at any AT&T store. So I was like sure, because I knew it couldn't happen. This was like 2 weeks ago. I told my boss and she laughs and I didn't think much about it. He came back today with his curve. He looks at me, gives me $50, and walks off. I love working in the mall.

HELL WEEKEND IS HERE FOR SC!!!

Yes, we have just started our tax free weekend. This is the part of the weekend when I have to explain to customers that no matter how you put it, a cell phone is not consider a school supply therefore you must pay taxes.

Bad Credit!!

I am getting so tired of runing peoples credit and it coming back with a $500 Deposit! I swear I have run about 15 credit checks today and havent sold one of them because of their stupid bad credit!!!

No Name?

I jus had a customer come up to my kiosk to buy a car charger.

I got the one he needed and started to ring him up, I asked for his name and he cais "Cody"

I asked for his last name and he go all defensive "what do you need all my information for!?!?"

I wanted his full name so I could look him up and ring out the charger under his name, so in case he needs to exchange it for any reason he can.

he said "that won't be necesary" and handed me his credit card to pay for it. (with his name printed right on it)

Wierd, stupid people.

Dumb Question Of the Week!

Customer comes in to my store..He is with a buddy of his and I am waiting on another person. Buddy interrupts me to ask if I have pre-paid and I told him that I would be with him in a minute.

I am a Verizon Indirect Agent.

He had to ask who has the best coverage in the area?


WTF???

What I supposed to tell him??

I said you are in my store and I sm going to say that I don't have the best coverage??

Then the guy says that you must not have the best coverage if you are going to tell me that.

His buddy then says lets leave because I don't like his attitude.

They leave..WHOHOO..

This is all the while I am waiting on this other customer.

customers and international dialing

i absolutely love when people call in flipping out about their bill being so high and the majority of the charges are for international calls...

"WHAT are you TALKING ABOUT!? I don't know ANYONE in Russia! Why would I EVER call Russia!?"

"Well ma'am I do apologize but these are valid charges and there is nothing I can do."

๐Ÿคฃ Like I'm going to credit $200 worth of international charges off of your bill. ๐Ÿ™„

Fu**in' Telesales

I'm really sick of telesales selling people phones they don't want. I'm sick of having to cancel it and fix the customer's plan. It's a bunch of crap it happens three or four times a month people come in with a phone they didn't want and kept telling telesales no! telesales is retarded they prevent us indirect agents from doing cold calls to increase our sale and all we do is tell people to come into our store to look at phones. telesales sells people phones they don't want. Has any one else had trouble with this.

poor old lady. She asked me about the phones she would "get free" when she called the "800" number. I don;t know, but I offered her something at my location for free. She said she would wait til she got back home...AFTER asking me how to use the green and red buttons on an lg 3450.

so, her son comes back with her, asking about the w315, which is the bane of the fogey's existence, and I tell them so, also telling them that they won't get the deal I'm offering anywhere else, b/c I can change prices; others cannot. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

it's true, and I was doing them a favor...her son still said that they should wait until they got home, so that they could "do it with Verizon" there. WHEN WE'RE STANDING RIGHT BY VERIZON SIGNAGE!!!!...
