It's a Beautiful Morning...

Here in the 8th Circle of Hell.

E-Mail is down.

The Ordering Software is... spotty (which means 5 minute orders take 20 before it crashes and you have to go to backup.)

We're 59 in cue.

We haven't gone below 12 in cue in over a week.

I am out of yarn... (So I can't even distract myself by making a bondage mask or something.)

On the Up Side... They're serving sandwiches in the break room. Great. ๐Ÿคจ

If I make it through this week without killing somebody we'll be doing good.

Bluetooth device symbol

Question for a tech-head out there:

I had a customer with one of those Telenav Bluetooth receivers that was trying to pair it to a Blackjack. The phone recognized his headset properly, but in the BT device list it had a yellow circle with a question mark inside it, almost exactly like the trouble indicator that Windows Device Manager shows with improperly installed devices. Does that question mark mean that the BT receiver was not properly set up? Or could it mean the receiver is defective? I assumed immediately that the user was defective and re-paired it myself and it did the same thing. Anyone got any useful thoughts or suggestions?

(Suggesting I'm defective too, while amusing, has already been considered and is therefore not...

evil b*tch comes into my store (after coming in repeatedly over the past few weeks with dumb questions about her new Dash) and I say "hi how r u?"

E.B.: tired of seeing ya'll.

me: ok...how can i help u?

E.B.: well im about to return this because there are just too many problems with this phone and I dont have time for it..blah blah blah

me: well...ma'am (ahem, b*tch) id be happy to help u fix whatever problems there are but theres no way i can take that phone back u r out of ur return period

E.B.: well i guess i can let u look at it but this is just ridiculous that i have had to come back so many times!

me: i know

E.B.: look i cant get into my voicemail it wont let me enter the password see!

she dials v-mail and then ...

guy just came in

c: I like this phone, I was thinking about adding my daughter onto my plan.

m:Ok, (look up his account) you are already on a family share, so it will be an additional 9.99 a month, that particular phone is free with a 2 year contract or 49.99 with a 1 year contract on that line.

c:Oh, I'm not sighning another contract.

m: The contract would only be on the new line. Without that, it is impossible for me to start service for you unless you want a prepay plan

c:Well then, I am going to port out my numbers to someone that won't make me sign a contract.

m:Any new carrier is going to require that you either sign a contract or set up pre pay service. (I showed him prepay plans)

c:I am going to sue the cell ...

How does THAT merit any bonus anything.

She just asked "Well can I get some bonus minutes of sumthin?"

Why?

She had been on the call with me for upward on 20 minutes.

Why?

She was too stupid to grasp the concept of "You're phone is already active."

She wanted to activate the new phone she had just received. She could not seem to get that it didn't need doing, that it was done. (Magic, just like that, I mystically activated it!)

I opened her order. "Yes, ma'am it shows here that the phone is already active on your family plan."

"NO! It's on a $40 plan with a thousand minutes. I want it on my family plan!"

"It is on your family plan ma'am, it's right here on the screen, everything is taken care of."

That went on in about the same vein for about twenty m...

Problems with Authorized Dealers?

I know most of you work for company owned stores, and I have a quick question:

How many of you have to deal with moron dealers? The ones that are by me lie all the time (the list is LONG) and are generally stupid.

If you do have the misfortune of being next to these places, let me know your most awful examples!

Everyone seems to be having such an awful day! Why for? I'm in a great mood. I just got my vacation time, my customers have been relatively pleasant, and I just bought a new car this morning. What could be better?

It's Bad Enough

It's bad enough that they system is down again, this job sucks on a good day, we're so deep in cue we'll never see daylight, and e-mail is down...

But the upper management is around prowling everywhere and I'm getting a crick in my neck from jerking around to see who is standing over my shoulder. Do they really think it's HELPING to have them looming over us when we're already stressed almost to the breaking point?

Another danger of iPhone

Just had a customer call in he was robbed in broad daylight at gunpoint for his iPhone and needed to know the last call placed...he asked what kind of replacement we would give him...hahahahaha...nothing sir you bought an uninurable phone you took a risk with your life in purchasing...hahahah..I am so mean.

I love rain......

especially when it was really busy, but then it started pouring and no one wanted to walk in the rain across the parking lot. I love it, less work for me. Everyone has just been yelling at me all day because they broke their phones and want me to fix things like water damage. HA, funny. Its nice to have a break lol.

It's Raining...

It's raining... let me rephrase that... Pouring. The only thing missing is fish swimming across the parking lot.

I have a feeling I'm not going to see any customers today... And I'll be handing out alot of FRU brochures for phones that have been swimming.

who wants to go in business with me

I want to start a 24-hour service and repair center supporting all carriers if i can get the licensing for all the carriers.

I am tired hearing customers complain about how the service centers close at 6pm here.

I went to the water park this week...

and I saw someone with there phone on a water slide saying they are going to record their way down which does end in a pool. I gave them my card when they got out of the pool. He asked me why did he need it when he have a perfectly good phone. I told him had.

He came in this morning.

Things that arent my fault...

"how can i keep you guys from cutting off my service every month, i run my buisness from my phone and this is crazy!"

well... if you paid off the two months past due you owe you wouldnt be cut off every time the current months bill comes out... dont get mad at me because sprint cut your service off because you didnt pay a bill for two months... its not my responsibility to remind you to pay your bill... and also dont think im "getting smart with you" because when you asked me what could be done about your phone being suspended every month i told you to pay your bill... thats not getting smart... thats being intellegent...

second (different guy)... the payment machine is not broken simply because you are too stupid to operate it... 10% ...
