Question for ATT core reps about iphone sale???

How much do you make from selling an iphone on a activation whether it be upgrade or new add? And i mean total for example: customer upgrades 39.99 line to iphone and adds iphone data plan. how much would you make off that whole sale? Thanks!

Change of Responsibility

I currently work for a provider that is part of a buyout scenario..

The COR process is done via fax machine. Fill out the form and then fax it to the right department..

The right department does not contact the agent or agent office if there is a problem and you have to keep faxing it in until they get it processed..

I started the process on one just before I went on vacation (9-23-09). NEVER got done..customer finally cancelled the process..when after I got back I started one and it got completed in 4 DAYS!!

WTF???

The carrier rep tells me that its just the department. I have made many requests to the powers that be that it needs to be changed..but no luck..

Any similar problems with the process that you follow?

M: Oooook, I need one of the two.

C: so and so place does it for me, my name is john smith, I should be in the system.

M: Alright I've found 8,000 John Smiths in the system, would you like me to pick one and apply the minutes to that?

I wonder if these same people go to a car repair shop and want tires, but do not know what type of car they drive.

"and will not even listen to the solution to fix the poor customers problem...."

CX: High my names is BLAH Number Is BLAH, my phone is damaged

Me: Ok Sir, I'm showing the # provided is not an insured line, I do apologize but we can not file a claim as this is not covered equipment

CX: Well @#$%^&* in my local store said you insure the phone not the number and I had the insurance added to the phone on xxx-xxx-xxxx.

ME: I do apoligize sir but the info you received was incorrect, we do insure the line and whatever equipment may be moved to it after the coverage is added. Called customer care over a missing deposit

So I called care after a customer came in inquiring about the status on a deposit refund. The care rep first didn't bother to properly confirm identity. I then proceed to explain the reason for the call. After repeating myself five times five different ways I then had to go into the entire activation/deposit scenario. Followed by how my carrier returns deposits after a year. You'd think a rep would know this... Once I'd gotten the information accross he finds a note where it had been sent out. I explain it's been two months and we'd likely need a re-issue. He then tries to tell me that my carrier can't track whether it's been deposited and they couldn't send out another check. This of course is all broken up by repeated requests tha...

Help a Used Cell Phone Broker Out (Not a plug)

Like the subject says, I work part time for a used cell phone broker when I'm not in school. Relax, this isn't a shameless plug. Anyways, one of the first reasons I posted on forums was find a way to verify ESNs faster since we got through crates of used phones every day. Some of which we have gotten from Craigslist. Anyways, I have to wonder aside from Craigslist, which is quite honestly, 50% full of crap and is generally a cesspool and the internet's toilet. I was wondering if anyone knows a cell phone trading floor where dealers can buy, trade, sell new or used cell phones in bulk. Because after finding out that 20% of the phones you got from Craigslist are crap (either stolen or lost), I'm starting to look for alternatives. Thankfully, w...

The most pissed off customer

Okay so this really happend to me:

Cust comes into the store we are supper busy and is waiting for me to finsh. several reps approcah him as i am finsing up with new custmoer and he says he is waiting on me. I fisnh.... this is where it gets intresting.

The customer approcahes me and converstion happens as follows:

Cust: Glad to see your done
Me: wlecome to blah how can i help you today sir.
Cust: do you not remeber me!
Me: yes sir i do is there something i Can do for you?
Cust: i want to you to lookat my bill, you promised me it would not be that high.
Me: okay lets take a look. Well sir the price is what i quted but you have addtional cahrges for ringtones and other downloads plus an actvation fee.

crazy reps

I hope I'm not posting in the wrong forum.. if I am- sorry!!

A couple of weeks ago, this girl (who also works with me) was coming into work at the same time as me.. I was in a rush because I had been out sick and had a ton of emails to check before I could start taking calls... she called out my name for me to wait for her in the parking lot. I told her that I couldn't wait because I was already about to be late. I thought she just wanted to chat...
I got all set-up at my desk.. next thing I know, she comes over to where I'm sitting and starts YELLING at me. Not just talking loudly, but actually yelling at me, telling me that I'm a bad person for what I did to her. I asked her what she was talking about, but she never answered me.

Soo I have this guy....

who is fraud, he keeps calling in and keeps getting me...I have had him 4 times in the last 2 days...he steals peoples info and tries to add lines to their acct...seriously, why the eff would he do that when he isnt even getting the phones? I didn't know yesterday that he was fraud and I added 2 lines to his acct...but he is a moron for thinking he is getting away with it...and he's a moron for wanting the SAME things every time and for talking the SAME exact way... this guy amazes me. He is a pro, I envy him.

Cust: My phone is junk, I charged it all night and it does not work now.

Me: Well Let me take look.... After holding fown the power button..... seems to work fine.

Tough crowd

2 types of ppl will come through that door:

1) questions/problems
2) to buy something

This is why it wears on you so badly. Think about it. Those are the options and it isn't 50/50 I'd say more like 80/20, way more problems or questions especially since they can buy themselves online or at walmart and then when they need support....

The difference between professional reps and credit-me customers

Customer calls to Sprint and can't verify.

Sprint rep: "I'm sorry, if I can't verify the PIN or security question, I cannot release any details about this account."

Customer: "IN THE NAME OF ALL THE POWERS AND FIRES OF HADES I DEMAND THEE OPEN THY ACCOUNT OR YOU SHALL SURELY PERISH IN THE ETERNAL FLAMES OF BLAHBLAHBLAH!"



I call to T-Mobile Flexpay (also outsourced and offshore, unlike me) and can't verify.

T-MO rep: "I am sorry. I cannot provide you account information unless you are an authorized person on the account."

Me: "OK. I understand. I'll have the authorized holder call back in an hour or two. Have a good day!"
