Anyone have a Blackberry 9530 STORM on TMo Network??

I bought an unlocked one this morning. Voice Network worked as soon as I put my sim in but, NO web capabilities. Tmo reps said yesterday(Sunday) that it was just a simple call to Techs to activate the phone. I started at 3:30pm Monday Jan 4th and it is now 8:30pm with NO resolution in sight. I think the RIM rep. forgot I was on hold. I have been going back and forth between TMo and RIM each blaming the other and offering NO real solutions other than for me to shell out some big $$$ for a TMO branded BB I wish my "wing" still worked. Can anybody offer any solutions??

HSPA+ Could compete with LTE

So I hear T-Mobile is about to deploy HSPA+ you know at least in theory this will compete with LTE. 21MBS it should be 4G and not 3G, plus I hear their is another advancement they can make with HSPA that could improve speed even more. I hope T-Mobile blows all the others out of the water. My theory on why AT&T isn't planning on going this route is because they don't have enough spectrum. Since 850 and 1900 can probably only serve as back haul for their network.

Even More Plus w/ Blackberry Question

If I switch to an Even More Plus Family plan, that is Talk, Text, and Web (1500 minutes for 119.99) does that include my Blackberry service? Or is that an additional charge?

Thank you guys for your awesome help!

T-Mobile plans, what happened!

TMO no longer seems like a cheap alternative. Just spec’d out a plan with the new BB Bold and it came to $90!
Where’d the $5 messaging plan go, it wasn’t an option? What happened to the limited cheaper data usage plans, I don’t need unlimited data?
And what’s the deal, if I want to buy a BB out right the cheapest plan is $80?

Nexus One petition

You've heard (and seen) the buzz about the new Google phone ... problem is TMob and Google only allow ONE 500 minute plan for the subsidized price of $180. In other words, new clients only and leaving loyal clients and family plan users in the cold. (or pay the $530 and use the phone on your plan)

There is a live online petition to try and change thier ways, please sign it. Lets see if we can get the phone.

Simple rules to be happy with any service provider

1) Use the trial period to insure you get coverage where you need it.
2) Find a phone that does what you NEED it to do.
3) Pick a plan that fits your needs.
4) Review your bill monthly and pay it on time.
5) Treat your phone like the expensive electronic equipment it is.
6) Expect to only get a discount on a new phone within the guidelines set forth by your provider.

Very Interesting Scenerio

I am really impressed with the new set-up T-Mobile has. In where a person can have the same benefits of post paid customer but w/o the contract. Sure you have to pay full retail price for the phone. But they thought that out as well. By offering the consumer financing for the phone. Plus no interest it is a win win situation. Especially for a person who is on a limited budget but can afford a Blackberry plan but doesnt have 599 to shell out bc of rent and other bills in life. But 23 dollars a month for a certain amount of time could be really easy to swallow. Does anybody know if the other companies are going to follow suit with this awesome compromise? The reason I ask is that I am a long time Verizon customer and was really hoping they wil...

HD2 spotted with Tmo USA branding!!!. . .

HD2 is definetly a beast of a smartphone! Personally I think 4.3 inches is way too big for a "mobile phone"

Former T-Mobile Customer (6 Years), Now AT&T Customer (surprised if I do 2years) seeking input......

I ported from T-Mobile last year (Black Friday 200😎 to AT&T due to issues with their "then up and coming" 3G Coverage. Now, just over over a year later, I:

- have been through decent coverage but I expected it. (Quick Question here for T-Mobile Customer Service and Users - Has 3G in the DFW Metroplex improved even a little bit? Zipcode is 75077 where I live but I also travel on the Pres George Bush Tollway either E or W as well so this would need to be better 3g coverage for my purposes as well. I had tried the G1 a year ago in this very area and it was miserable. Calls started to sound like vocal morse code.);
- have seen the Customer Service experience from just good (only because T-Mobile then had no idea about T-Mobile's issues ...

Question?

I saw a Blackbery 8520 bundle for Tmobile the other day at Best Buy for $299. Can this phone be activated with an Even More Plus plan, or is it only with prepaid plans?

TIA for any help. 🙂
