So I have been with T-Mobile since September 2009... while I do love them lately I have been having alot of SOS at home and that is not cool in any way... I am wondering what are my chances of getting out of contract with no ETF since apparently signal at my house has went completely downhill.....

Thanks

If the T-Mobile coverage map shows you should have signal, and you don't, there are some troubleshooting steps that would need to be taken before they would consider something like that.

If the coverage map shows you to have no signal, then yes, you can get out free of ETF.

Go to a corporate owned store, and they'll probably change your SIM card first. Technically, this is going to be the first step anyone is going to tell you to do.

That store can also file a Service Request, which'll forward up to a local engineer to take a look and see if there is something wrong with the tower near your home.

What type of phone is it? Have you had service there before?

This sounds like it could be a problem with your phone or SIM. To go from having good signal to no signal usually indicates a problem with the phone and/or SIM. No major carrier is removing towers, so there shouldn't be any coverage being lost on the network end, and if so, those situations are usually temporary (damaged tower, etc.). Try changing the SIM first, and if not, call T-Mobile back and speak to Blackberry support about a possible warranty exchange.

Fear the Cubans is right; they will want to verify their own network. If they don't find anything wrong with your local tower(s) then you may be SOL. But perhaps you'll luck out and there will be a problem they will find and fix.

if you have no signal OUTSIDE your home, and it says you have great coverage, you can submit a ticket. If you have no service INSIDE your home.. well, no carrier promises coverage in buildings. They might still trouble shoot it, but getting out without an ETF is less likely.
