Re: So... are these dual mode phones for the Nextel accounts or the Sprint accounts?
not to continue this or anything but the contracts have to do with everything involved, from inventory to length of vesting. this is why we had to drop all of our inventory, return it, then get completely new inventory under the new corporate contracts. if you're so "inside" you'd know that. and i'm really glad you're so above name-calling and immaturinty. it really makes me swell with pride that there's finally someone out there who is over calling someone ...
Re: So... are these dual mode phones for the Nextel accounts or the Sprint accounts?
"Oh very true, but as soon as it is closed those clauses go away because they are absorbed into the daddy"
do you even read what you write? that's completely contradictory to what you wrote not 24 hours previous.
"Remember when it says in writting and other means, that Nextel and Sprint will honor existing contracts."
when things are put into "writting" and signed...these things are called contracts. contracts cannot be broken, or like "upper management" would say, "breeched," without ...
Re: What the hell is wrong with SPRINT???
what's wrong with sprint is that they choose to carry phones with less problems and greater customer satisfaction (samsung and sanyo, respectively). do you not notice that motorola is constantly recalling and having to retool the phones that have been out less than a few months. the razr has been out for how long(?) and they're just now making it a little more shiny and adding a slightly better-than-vga camera. all in all, i'll take a samsung 900 with ...
Re: So... are these dual mode phones for the Nextel accounts or the Sprint accounts?
i think you've said too much! people might see the front of the phone on the news brief and see that it CLEARLY SAYS NEXTEL. seriously... it's you're duty to keep that hush hush.
Re: So... are these dual mode phones for the Nextel accounts or the Sprint accounts?
that is absolutely incorrect. upper management has nothing to do with anything here. for the first few months after the buyout occurred, sprint| |nextel operated as 2 different companies and have been slowly becoming more aligned. as for "clauses" or whatever...affiliate and partner and legacy contracts are not immediately "absorbed into the daddy." that's pretty much throwing a contract out the window, isn't it? i recommend taking a contracts class. save paying millions in breech of ...
Re: KANTANA looks fat...
yes, but it's a design perfected by sanyo. that is, of course, assuming this is as good as sanyo's previous offerings.
Re: MMMM>>>>>>>
...let's do a little research before embarrassing yourself. China is expected to surpass all countries (including the US) as the single largest economy in the world by sometime around 2020. and they already have the largest army. i would say that they're a little more "cracked up to be" than you think.
Re: legalize marijuania YES or NO?
libertarian much?
Re: So Retarded
they're coming out with an upgraded version of the A900 in august that will have a memory card slot. i haven't heard specifics about size, but needless to say...will continue to be worlds better than the razr.
Re: I'm Just tellin' you what the tv said
i think what the guy saw was the alltel commercial where creepy sprint guy's hand "merges" with the head of that cingular...ummmm...thing. i think the ad is funny, but clearly did not do it's job on this particular fella.
Re: not one, but TWO new pieces of $h!t...
god, you're soooo cool! you wrote a phone review over 6 months ago and you're 10 times better than anyone else on this dumb site! i wish we could get together and talk about how dumb everybody is so we can feel better about the shortcommings in our own miserable life...like the fact that we sit around looking at what others post to form some dimwitted opinion of who they are and how much of a poseur they are! ...
Re: coolll
sprint's customer service WAS notoriously bad, but i've got to admit it's getting better, it's getting better all the time. as for comparing t-mobile to sprint...customer service will only get you so far. new features such as the one listed above make a carrier much more attractive than stellar customer service, however unfortunate that may be.
Re: Where to being with your asinine talking points-like reply
thank you.
Re: bluetooth and mp3
absolutely. i've got a feeling that the next round of phone releases over the next three months are going to bring alot more consumers over to planet sprint.
Re: THATS F'd UP!!!
nope...that's about right. example using the FCC:
FCC doesn't talk to DHS doesn't talk to FBI doesn't talk to CIA doesn't talk to NSA doesn't talk to anybody.
see? it's beauracracy at it's finest.
katana?
have the phone scoop fellas released the specs on the new sanyo 6600? i've been given pics from our rep, but no specs. i must have it! let me know.
Re: favorite managerial sayings...
i used to have a job in a sprint kiosk in a mall...my manager would say, "john, i'm expecting three phones from you by close today." apparently i was his go-to guy. but the truth is...i wasn't. i quit.
Re: favorite managerial sayings...
nice. i think i need to organize "ally rallies" like in the restaurant biz. there are three employees at this store and rarely, if ever, do we all work at once, but man...a good ol' fashioned ally rally sounds AWESOME(!) right about now.
"NOW LET'S GET OUT THERE AND MAKE THE CUSTOMER WANT IT! THEY'RE ASKING YOU TO SELL THEM A PHONE! DO IT! LET'S GET A "SELL CELL" ON THREE! GO GET 'EM TEAM!"
Re: Sprint Employee's...?
...excuse the king james jibberish...
Re: Sprint Employee's...?
actually, we're a former alamosa market, and the only things i can't/haven't done is add notes to the account and/or have a technician look at the phone...though i will tell the customer that the tech won't touch it due to the water damage, scrapes, etc... granted, i don't have a magical button. but what i do have the integrity to inform the customer of what i can and can't do, and not forget that they are in fact the ...
Re: Sprint Employee's...?
most of my business are bill payments. the people who either don't have a checking account (a new demographic for you) or just like to give their money to someone with a pulse. i'd be lying if i said our primary interests aren't in selling phones, whether they be upgrades, new acts, or otherwise. but, like i said, i'm an indirect so we get what amounts to the "overflow" from the corp. store. but on any given phone, i ...
Re: Thank You Sprint.
while we're at it, let's go ahead and hand over all the websites we go to and all the songs we download to see if we're listening to rage against the machine or propagandhi and looking at how to build a spud gun. we'll turn over our library records too, b/c we don't want anybody reading chomsky b/c they've gotta be terrorists. let's go ahead and release everybody's health records too! those people with aids are planning an attack! ...
Re: Sprint Employee's...?
addendum to previous post:
i don't hate my job. i hate jerks who happen to also be sprint customers. since you're the most visible sprint employee they know, they WILL take it out on you. other than that, it's a fun job and rather good for college students (such as myself) in that it pays well and affords you free nights every night of the week.
Re: Sprint Employee's...?
i work indirect and average about 20-25 hours a week, though it feels like much more, and average about $12-18 an hour obviously depending on the week and which of my @#$%&*# customers will return their phone. alluvin was right. your customer service skills don't mean a thing here. it's survival, baby. bank customers probably don't normally (and i say normally b/c you've probably never experienced a bank robbery...if you have...congratulations. you're still alive.) threaten your life and limb. ...

these display cases aren't going to clean themselves...that trash isn't going to carry itself out...if ya got time to lean, ya got time to clean...
feel free to add your own with or without your own witty comebacks! badmouth your manager! everybody's doing it!
Re: favorite customer quote
i actually thought about that...even retiring...but i could only retire without a vehicle. maybe i could afford an ass... "he's my only means of conveyance...but i guess i do spoil him."
Re: cote d'ivorieianans
i have the same problem with a fellow from the ivory coast (cote d'ivore? something with characters i don't have on this thing)...he speaks broken african-french interspersed with english mixed with frustration. i run from him as well.
"tis too much. i can't pay. frenchfrenchfrench."
Re: favorite customer quote
your post about the ufo guy made me remember one of our more memorable customers as well. he is known as "the alien" by the staff here. i could write a novel about all the stuff he's said over the course of his visits, but there's a time and place for that, and it's not here and it's not now. however, on one of his visits he told me a secret project he'd been working on:
he is building ...
Re: favorite customer quote
i swear if i had a nickel for every person who asked if "dem rollover minutes" came on the plans...well, i could probably afford a tank of gas.
Re: Sick of Lying Customers
when dealing with these types of customers, i always have 1 song in my head...it helps me get through the day: Cake - Nugget. "i don't wanna hear it...shut the f*** up!" now where you might get into trouble is when you "accidentally" start serenading customers with this in store.
Re: Another slow day, Another slow person

Another slow day, Another slow person
i swear it's everybody-act-retarded day here. a customer came in wanting to pay her bill. since i'm in an indirect, i have to look online to find out her bill amount (another annoyance...but anything to appease the consumer). she gives me her number and the last 4 of her social (because she doesn't know her password). of course that doesn't work, so i call customer care to get her bill amount. i hear this: "i'm sorry. that phone number ...
