If its cool, send it to AT&T. If its bulky but reliable, and atleast 1year old technology, send it on over to VZW. JK. :)

ok... never judge a book by its cover. Its an old screen name from when I first joined and when I was employed under wirelesszone. I work at the Hanover MD Call center. Have done so for a while now. InfoManager, ACSS, RAMP, NetPromoter, Transactional Accuracy, Emvolve, Single Sign on,... blah blah blah... it all sucks. They know how I feel, dont fret. Im arleady tirewd of it all and Im on my last couple of weeks as we speak. ...

No. VZW is selfish. They wanted in on OTA music downloads. I can see it now, Vcrap on the iPhone instead of iTunes. I work for VZW too, and I want the iPhone - LOL. I honestly think the new BB is complete crap unless your a traveling professional. No reason to buy the phone if you never leave the states... and no camera... pff.

I thought the artical was pretty good. I think it has alot of the points in a fair balance. I still want the phone, and Im not going to lie... I want to port out just for the hnadset... but I reall stop at the last minute because its Cingular and I just dont trust them... or verizon... ehh what the hell, its just a phone... that I must have! Its cool... just a bad day taking angry customer calls for VZW. I like the phones, but they are far from perfect - and no phone will ever be perfect. I think VZW does a great job keeping an awesome network, but we are extremely slow to offer cutting edge handsets.

It wont have MMS (picture messaging, video messaging). To share pics, or vids, you have to send them through email... engadgetmobile.com It does not message to IM users... so no AOL or MSN... although, Apple just announced it will allow 3rd party apps to be added... check apple.com

The iPhone doesnt support sending MMS messages. Seems like everything picture related will need to be sent through email. Again, this is info I am reading on engadgetmobile... so who knows. I used the term pix/flix just because its shorter than picture and video messages. :)

Thinking of pickin up an at&t line...

I am looking to pick up service with ATT and I am gathering some opinions from current subscribers. Are upgrades 22 months on a 2 year agreement? Do you receive credit towards equipment or just two year pricing? Hows reception around central MD? Especially with Data transmition? Thanx in advance.

I wouldnt download music over the air anyhow, I would use my home internet to do things like that. Sync to iPhone, done deal.

this is sooo true across the board. I used to be employed via "Wireless Zone" - a VZW agent... we were run out of business because we did not meet those rediculous quotas... Now, on the Corp-side of things... (a call center rep - even worse)... I dont have any "push" for features which is awesome. I do have alot of pressure for calls per day and such... Well... I had the Q and now Im on the EnV... Same place as you. I gotta say I miss the email capability of a PDA but I dont miss the cumbersome size. I also think I'll give the EnV a few more months (VZW emloyees get an upgrade every 10 months) then Im back into a PDA... I also hate that fact I cant tether with the EnV (without the $40 price tag)... Thats the biggest thing I miss about ...

So I love the phone - I really do. I just have 2 complaints... MobileWeb : 1. Scrolling takes forever. 2. Not alot of memory capacity when web browsing. Some pages wont fully load because of insuficiant memory. Still... I love this phone. Now, on to getting it to tether with my Mac.
