Apple's iPhone will launch on time, and though interest is enormously high, orders and actual sales will be low.
Apple will be mum on the subject (since I bet it expects this), but analysts, pundits and stockholders will panic (we recently saw how a tiny rumor can set off a virtual stampede).
Our impatient, hyperactive market culture will descend on the struggling product, dissecting the disaster: It was too expensive. Apple shouldn't have gone with just one carrier. Eigh...

not at all i use tmobile but i'm interested in all carrier phones and network progress.im not getting an iphone it's to expensive plus its on that crappy cingy network.

well at least our network is bigger than yours, and dont forget to thanx at&t when you go into an area tmobile doesn't cover 🙂

I thought the artical was pretty good. I think it has alot of the points in a fair balance.
I still want the phone, and Im not going to lie... I want to port out just for the hnadset... but I reall stop at the last minute because its Cingular and I just dont trust them... or verizon... ehh what the hell, its just a phone...

Just because people want something doesn't mean they get it. A lot of people will choose an alternate simply due to the pricing. You think mom and dad will be willing to buy junior a $500 iPhone or a $200 iPod? Even those that are old enough to purchase their own equipment will cringe on the pricing. Compare a good reliable phone + iPod to the cost of the combined device... yah...
