Seriously people, I don't know if it is advertising or what the puts this idea in your head that having a dropped call every now and then is that big of a deal. How miserable is your life when you dwell over a few dropped calls.
And as far as people who victimized themselves when they drop two calls and and claim that it happens "all the time".
I am not some at&t fanboy, but I do work in the wireless industry and I have been a customer of three different carriers and I am here to tell you that it happens with every carrier out there. For every area where verizon gets service and at&t doesn't, there is an area where at&t works and verizon doesn't.

Some carriers drop more calls than others and sometimes it's very aggravating. If you're talking to someone who drops a call whenever he or she gets up from bed (a friend with Sprint) you could identify yourself with whoever ranted about dropping calls to begin with.

agreed, but when it happens frequently in bursts, in some cases it does. most of the time i have a stable call and i only drop a few calls here and there, w/ the exception of some days when they are kinda frequent
at&t is reliable most of the time, i just wish they would work on voice QUALITY more than anything, coverage is top knotch, go at&t!!!

Agreed. Everytime I Call my boss I can only understand 40% of what he is saying. Maybe thats because he is black and I don't speak ebonics, but hey who knows.

yep cingular voice quality sucks!!! that's what keeps me with verizon, its beter to deal with their crappy phones at least i don't have ANY dropped call!! voice quality is great with veriozn too

Yea but you have to realize the following:
We rarely dropped calls in the Atlantic City area, now after the 3G rollout we're having more and more problems with calls dropping, one way audio, and calls completing without audio.
We went from having people tell us they loved the coverage to people complaining about reception problems, in the exact same area. We've even had problems with reception in our store when we had no problem before.

had similar problems when they were putting 3g in my area (Detroit, MI) but then again AT&T Wireless had UMTS in Detroit before Cingular aquired them
