... however I had a few questions.

I am obviously interested in the iPhone, but since reading more info on it, I had a couple of questions... I know info is still kinda limited, so I wont expect definate answers, just simple discussion.

Since the handset wont be compatible with IM/iChat, do you think there will be an alternative 3rd party app to allow this?

Also, why do you think they did not want to incorporate pix and flix msgs? Kinda wierd.

What about internet? Do you think it will be standard pricing or a specific all inclusing plan set for this handset?

Thanx in advance.

I think (again no hard facts to back it up) that the iPhone will have it's own data plan, much like the Blackberry does.

we just had a meeting about this about a week ago. the iphone will have its own data plan and the new brochures with the iphone data plan should be arriving on the 17th of this month. The iphone will not be able to download third party apps. only compatible itunes/mac software apps. they locked out alot of third party stuff on this phone but someone will hack it soon enough. pix and flix messages are verizon picture and video messages from what i know and this phone should be able to do both.

The iPhone doesnt support sending MMS messages. Seems like everything picture related will need to be sent through email. Again, this is info I am reading on engadgetmobile... so who knows.

I used the term pix/flix just because its shorter than picture and video messages. 🙂

So i find it hard to believe that it wont support mms messaging. That just seems crazy with all the feature it has on it not to do simple things like picture message. but the sidekick has the same thing all those feature and no mms. so it wouldnt suprise me either way really.

Skip the iPhone. Doesn't even have high speed internet access (slow EDGE technology). You can't download music directly to it either( has to be synced with home PC for music). Be smart, sign up for Sprint wireless service and get the Samsung Upstage/M620(black or red) for $99.99 after a $50 mail in rebate with a 2 year contract. For a limited time, pick up a 2 GB SanDisk microSD, a vehicle charger and a leather carrying case with caber for $95.98 plus applicable sales tax with the M620.
