You can toggle LTE and WiMax. You cannot toggle the 4G technology of other networks such as T-mobile. Not sure why Verizon isn't allowing a toggle (don't know if it's true or not) but the HTC Thunderbolt did not come with a toggle, but developers made one and its available for free in the market, play store or whatever google is calling it now.

This was a good review. I agree it was filled with valid comparisons against other phones in it's class. However, I think the OP is upset because the comparisons to iPhone were basically how the Epic isn't as good. When you consider how ridiculous iPhone Fanboi's (not that you are one Rich) act in that they literally refuse to admit that anyone could build a phone as good, if not better, (in some ways) it makes those who despise ...

Re: Intercept vs. Moment
Jul 13, 2010, 6:27 PM
in the Samsung Intercept forum

It's just like when the Instinct S30 came out, everyone seemed to think it was an upgrade from the original Instinct, but such was not the case. Ironically though, due to timing (something Sprint historically hasn't too good at) the S30 was the same price as the original (which was being phased out).

Ok thanks. Hey, I also noticed that the Moment's specs state 16-million, but it's running vanilla Android 1.5 also, so it would need to also state 65K (supports 16 million)

Okay, I'll buy that regarding the display settings within Android. However, why don't you add 65K (supports 262K) the same as you do with other specs? Agreed, the sheer magnitude of the difference in those numbers makes most people believe it equates to an insane degredation in quality, but it certainly doesn't appear as such. The Hero's screen is very nice, bright, and vivid colors. Perhaps not the sharpest, but even iPhone loses clarity once people put an invisible shield ...

As long as your company pays for ActiveSync then you should have no problems. My company doesn't, but we do have OWA and I use a free email app by SEVEN (makers of the email app for Sprint Mobile Email App) to sync my OWA email and its a true push email.

Just search through this forum. We have all talked about how to enter your own profiles for MEdia Net and MMS. Allow me to let you in on a little secret....Cingular reps (and most certainly customer service) don't know jack about how to use unlocked/unbranded phones. Mine works flawlessly. dura ace, I too have an MPx 200 and a RAZR V3. I bought my RAZR off of ebay; it is unlocked for T-mobile (I use Cingular). I don't think so. I believe it only resets all the hardware on the phone. BUT DON'T QUOTE ME ON THAT!! :D Luckily, the phone is set up so that, even if you screwed up something in the Windows OS by moving files around where they don't belong or whatever, you can do a master or hard reset to restore the phone back to factory settings.

I don't recall EXACTLY how it is done, but if you do a search on this forum (use the search options) or just look back on the pages from around December, January there was much discussion on how when why, etc to do a hard reset. I dunno, try tapping that multifunction key once you connect on a call. It may be on mute or something else. I made a call the other day, hung up and as soon as I hung up the person I tried to call was calling me in return (she couldn't make it to the phone in time) and I did something wrong, because I ended up just taking it off and using the phone to talk with. Jun 7, 2005, 9:26 PM
in the Motorola MPx220 forum

I see your point, but the firmware versions (including 1.30.0 and the one yet to be officially released) are apparently a collaborative effort between the wireless provider (in this case Cingular) and the manufacturer of the phone (Motorola). Therefore, I think both are still to blame. I guess in theory, only physical shortcomings, such as the camera lense and flash could be totally Motorola's fault for design flaws, but a lot of the other bugs are from the rush ...

That's funny! I got mine today also (I'm in southern Ohio). I didn't know who the crap this package was from at first. I have been anticipating a different package and, based on the size of the one the HS810 came in, I knew it couldn't be it. I was baffled until I opened the box and low and behold a little HS810 with the instruction manual and NOTHING else but styrofoam peanuts. That little thing is pretty cool. ...

Considering there are only about a million of these phones that were sent back and flashed with the 1.30 and then people dissatisified and sent those back, I doubt they will be making any new phones for awhile. I would hope that they will be forced to label them as reconditioned. Actually, they will have to sell them pretty dang cheap, 'cause if I wanted a new cell phone, that's exactly what I want--a "new" cell phone. ...

Seems to me that action of installing new firmware is like doing a "hard reset?" I could have sworn people said anytime you do a hard reset on the phone, you have to make certain the battery has 100% charge beforehand, otherwise the phone will think wherever the battery level is at is completely charged???? I know a couple months ago it was discussed or possibly even further back around December when I bought my phone it was discussed ...

If anyone is contemplating that nice looking blue and silver charger that has the cradle and spare battery slot (has an analog clock on the front) DON'T GET IT!! Okay, so I'm downloading the installer right now. I visited the howardforums.com website as well. Does the installer have to match the same ROM upgrade source? Those guys on howard are talking like there are some different installers and some are offline and some are online. I think it may be safe just to wait on Motorola. Hey dchester, Will this be the same upgrade in firmware that we are all waiting for? Have you used it? I'm kinda scared to install this on my phone. I guess you would have to unzip the file and then install, right? The MPx220 doesn't have the ability to unzip files (does it?). I dunno, I think I'd better just wait until the US site releases it.
