Latest ROM 1.49
Had Cingular 1.43 then upgraded to 1.47 and had been using 1.47 for about 2 months and loved. Last night updated to the latest 1.49. Sound is not as high pitched as 1.43 and seems to be a bit better than 1.47. Reception is way better than 1.43 and I can't tell the difference with 1.47 but certainly no worse. Voice dial prompts are still in British English (as with 1.47) which I don't care for cuz some of their syllables/pronounciation is different than American english and you have to repeat names sometimes that wasn't the case with 1.43. For example one of my contacts has the last name "Duarte" and we pronounce it "du-ar-teh" while the British (1.49) prompt back is "du-art." Where can I get the 1.49 ROM? I have the latest "official" ROM from the Motorola web site and would like to get the upgrade to 1.49.
By the way, does the 1.49 ROM fixt he spontaneous shut-down and spontaneous loss of signal issues of the 1.43 ROM that I currently have?

Can someone help us. I have 1.49 Rom but I would really like 1.47 atleast. I just can't figure out how to get it loaded. I have the offline updater but it doesnt work for some reason.

I was hesitant and didn't want to try the do it yourself flash upgrade to version 1.43, but then I had purchased a razr and figured I could use it for awhile in case I screwed up the MPx 220. It's actually not difficult.
Can someone please provide a link or more information on how to download this 1.49
I am fairly pleased with 1.43, but there is room for improvement and I'm interested....thanks!
