I got some good advice from these posts afterall. Free HS810!
I have been reading these posts ever since I got this phone and have really only seen people complain about it. I have been watching for useful info but never got much because it basically seems that people absolutely hate this phone. I am not one of the 'haters' because I really find no fault with the phone itself. I do however hope that everyone that hates it gets compensated somehow.
As for me I received a package today with a Motorola HS810 Bluetooth headset with instruction manual and nothing else. There was no explanation as to why I got it. I suppose that this is the big "we're so sorry" that has been rumored for so long. It works for me since I have no problems in the first place. I hope everyone gets theirs soon.

That's funny! I got mine today also (I'm in southern Ohio).
I didn't know who the crap this package was from at first. I have been anticipating a different package and, based on the size of the one the HS810 came in, I knew it couldn't be it. I was baffled until I opened the box and low and behold a little HS810 with the instruction manual and NOTHING else but styrofoam peanuts.
That little thing is pretty cool. I don't think I would pay the $ for it, but since its free I'll definitely take it. Setting it up is a cinch and it only takes 2 hrs to charge, so you don't have to wait long before breakin' it in.

🙂 Mine was waiting for me today -- just got back from a trip. Came in bubbly wrap (no box) and manual....everything packed in peanuts in an outer box. Cool.

I got mine the other day, and when I finally tested it out, I find that the microphone on it doesn't work.

I dunno, try tapping that multifunction key once you connect on a call. It may be on mute or something else.
I made a call the other day, hung up and as soon as I hung up the person I tried to call was calling me in return (she couldn't make it to the phone in time) and I did something wrong, because I ended up just taking it off and using the phone to talk with. I didn't know I was supposed to tap the button on the earpiece to answer the call. 😳
