Battery Life Question
Realistically, with normal use and not constantly on the internet, how many minutes of talk time and standby time should you get with this phone? Or, does this phone use up battery by constantly searching for an internet signal even though you are not? Thank you.

Front Screen
Is there a way to keep the front screen dimly lit so you can always see the time?
PROBLEM?
I really like this phone but Verizon has had to replace two of them within ten days. Seems the phone just freezes up. Wonder if anyone else has experienced this or perhaps it is a bad batch. Now on my third one and hope this one will work. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
Dialing Fonts Issue
Apparently this phone has a software problem whereby you are unable to chage the dialing fonts from large to normal. Mine doesn't work and nor did any others in the store work.
Extended Battery
Is there an extended battery for this phone?

Can you buy the Alltel version and activate the phone with Verizon? If so, would the Alltel firmware remain on the phone, thus avoiding Verizion's version?

Will this new updated version of the RAZR CDMA have better battery life than the V3C and quicker menu access?
First Generation
Sounds like this phone is like the 710 was to the 815. A first generation with a lot of bugs. I bet the next version will be much better....it pays to wait!

According to Verizon customer service there is no rebate to existing loyal customers who want to purchase the phone and are not eligible to upgrade. $419.00 plus tax!
Main Screen
There must be some kind of an error because the MOBILEDIA website says that the main screen is 262k colors, not 62k. This information should be confirmed so that it is accurate.

Unexplained Happening
This has happened to me three times over the course of the last month. Maybe someone can explain. I left a voice message for someone on their verizon pnone. About 2-3 weeks later I get a beep on my phone that I have a voice message. When I play the message it is my voice leaving the original message for the person I called 2-3 weeks ago. Anybody know why this is happening? Thanks.

Something must be wrong. I've had this phone more than a month and never had any battery problems. With normal talk and not using any bells and whistles I consistently get 5 days. Overall this phone has been great in all aspects. Best cellphone I have had.

I used the 6100 for about a year and thought it was a good phone. Only calls I dropped were in areas with bad reception. Just got the 815 and it is definitely an upgrade. The screen is bigger and clearer and reception is definitely better. Dropped calls are much less and reception is much improved, especially in the areas where I experienced little or no reception with the 6100. Each phone has its advantages but overall the 815 ...
Home Charger
Even though the voltage output is not the same, can I use the same house charger for the E815 as did for the V60I? Thanks.

How can a phone be applauded and almost perfect for two weeks and then a competitors phone comes out that appears to be a dud and all of a sudden the E815 gets a series of poor reviews? It almost sounds as if the poor reviews are not real.I hope this is not the case but something sure looks fishy!

Calendar Capacity /EV-DO
Does anyone know the calendar capacity for this model? Seems all other audiovox phones were limited to only 30 days worth of entries. Also can someone explain to me what EV-DO is? Thank you.

Yesterday, according to a spokesperson at LG, the volume bug has been fixed and the "patch" has been forwarded to Verizon for testing. A local store verizon tech confirmed that they did receive the "patch" and it is in testing but could not give me a date when it would be ready for the public. He mentioned that notification would take place by customers receiving a text message. I wouldn't hold my breath....guess just keep calling the store!

Antenna
Is it possible to replace the stub antenna with a regular extendable one? If so, will it improve reception?

I guess you can disregard my previous post. Spoke earlie today with LG tech service and although they were extremely nice and responsive, the tech knew nothing of any problem or current solutions to whatever I was referring to. At this point, according to him, LG isn't aware of any volume bug.

Just returned from local verizon store and was told by the tech that they are aware of the problem and that the manufacturer is currently working on a software fix. I have no idea what the time frame is.

The incoming volume on my phone has the same problem. Seems the volume is low for about a second or two. I'm really not tech smart so I'm hoping it will be corrected. not really a problem though, the phone has been excellent.
Speaker
Can you switch to speaker mode when you are in the middle of a conversation or must you engage speaker prior to making or receiving a call?
Audiovox Support
I'd like to know how and who anyone spoke to at Audiovox support. I spoke with their tech support in Long Island and it was virtually non-existent. They knew nothing and didn't even know the phone was released by VZ.
Scheduler
Really like this phone but I am only able to input 30 events in the scheduler beore it says "memory all used up". Does anyone know if this is fact and, if so, can this be corrected by a software update. Talking to VZ or the manufacturer has been fruitless. Thank you.
