LG VX-6100
firmware upgrade?
Everything I've been reading on this and other forums says that the V02 upgrade for the 6100 will be out soon, that LG and VZW are working out the final kinks for it now...

does anyone know if we will be able to do the update wirelessly or, will we have to take it in to a store?

Correct. Was at a corporate store today and spoke to the lead tech there. Told me they've gotten official word an update is coming. Should be mid next week!

Had firmware upgrade today in Arizona. Had one call and volume bug no longer exists.

Besides the low volume the first 2-4 sec of a call my phone seems to be the same volume wise at med and loud. I was hoping it might get a bit louder.
I called the VZ customer servicenumber for my area ( Dayton, Ohio ) and was told no known problems exist with the 6100 and no fix was coming. I am glad to hear you goy\t yours fixed and that its just a matter of time before they catch up here. Did you do a *228 2 or did you go to a VZ store?
