As you know I have friends at VZW NJ..
Yes its not only coming but faster than we thought.
Some of the guys in VZW NJ are carrying them already..
It's a go for sure and we think about 4-8 weeks out..
Believe me i never thought it was going to happen but it's happening..
I am a BB user now for months and love the pearl for sure I will have the curve just for the keyboard aspect...

I want to get my wife a pearl in pink of course.
She just wants to text message with it , no other data but we dont want to pay for the data plan. Just the text plan ?

I reported on this weeks ago.. It's a bug and a big one!!!
I love the phone and it's great but there are a few serious bugs this is one and the other is the blue light for Bluetooth. Dont turn it off, it cripples the Bluetooth entirely.
They are working on a fix for these bug !

Yes , I found the bug reported it and here is the fix !!!
Turn on the bluetooth indicator light, which you have turned off.
I found this and figured out what was going on..
I found a few bugs they are on VZW's list and Rim's as well.

It s real bug and it's not fixed with what you wrote.
Teh 8830's actually don't do this , at least the bunch we have.. We have never seen this on any 8830..
We spoke with High ups at VZW and Rim is looking into it immediately.
I am hoping for other people to test this today ?

BUG 8130 Pearl:
When using bluetooth and the phone is in the holster and you voice dial, the dialer says it's calling and it simply drops the call and never dials it.
Yes, you can receive calls with the answer button when its in the case but no dialing. We checked all settings and something is very wrong. If you slide it out of the case and use the voice dialer , it works great.

So a few hours with this puppy and so far its getting a bit better.
Had huge problems with MMS, they fixed it , provisioning was wrong if you are coming from a 8830.. It works now.
The screen is smaller than the 8830 but very nice.
The voice quality is way better for the outside called than the 8830.. Quite awesome actually. The bluetooth seems ot be better as well, everyone is telling me this.
I am lost with Suretype right now.. ...

First I think they have my plan wrong, I cant send MMs messages and I think it's because I had an 8830.. No mms on that one..
Also, I dont see the Evdo indicator like on the 8830 ?? Anyone else see it ?

Guys, I am so psyched to get this new phone. I was on the Q9m for a week and could not deal with the whole windows disaster. I had to constantly manage applications and kill them and the battery even with the extended was horrid , about 1.5 hours of talk best case.
So I got the new 8830 yesterday and I love the OS very much.. The mail and test and overall feel is great. Lots of my friends ...

Looks cool but with 770MAH battery , I bet you all the money in Fort Knox, talk time will be horrid..
Unless they figured out something no one else knows. Battery's need to me 900-1100 to be decent.. Size makes it impossible and I guess some people will live with the battery..

I have some official info --- Not all but some..
The V9M is super close. And I mean super close.
I saw that the street date is set for 9/2/07 for 100% sure.. This is at Secondary market stores so it might be even sooner at the vzw STORES..
It's retail is 499.00 - Whoa - Thats a big number !
I am so psyched to see this thing based on how happy I am with the W385 !!!

Overall it really is nice to carry this thing in the black ruberized belt clip. It snaps in and out so nice. I think I take it in and out , 2000 times a day and it's always in and secured.
It's just a workhorse that is real nice..
I want more features believe me. The V9m sounds so good, but I bet it will not be as nice construction wise as good as the W...
The battery also I think ...

Yes it's been 30 days now and I cant believe how much I enjoy using this phone.
We did get the Verizon Black Belt Clip - It makes the phone even better.. For me, I find it the convenience of carrying the phone is crucial and when a clip works and looks this flat and nice, it's really great.
