Verizon Drops the Ball on the Pearl !!! VZW still cant keep a promise ?
Spoke with Customer Service - Apparently the 26th pre order date is here and no phones !!
Well guess what, now they are saying the date has slipped and they dont know when.
This is the unfortunate treatment that makes us loyal VZW customers want to run for the hills.
With all the information flow and technology , you think a company like verizon would be able to tell it's customers when something is coming out..
When Apple says they are releasign a new OS (Leopard) or a new phone (Iphone) it releases that day.
Consumer dissapointment ultimately will kill any company.
Wake up VZW and tell your customers whats going on. Keeping us in the dark makes us look for a way out !!!

You know what? It's a phone. I would be surprised if the general population even knows or cares that the Pearl is coming to Verizon. The more informed people that are disappointed make up an extreme minority of Verizon's customers. This isn't going to affect their business in the slightest way. If this is your biggest problem, you should be glad that life has been kind to you so far.

Far as Apple always being on time, uhh.... no. Leopard was actually originally scheduled to release in June, but Apple pushed it back to October. That's a four-month delay.

VZW certainly isn't perfect, but I'd rather deal with their set of problems than the set of problems offered by other carriers. I know this from bitter experience. 😕
In the end, that's pretty much all you can do... pick the carrier that sucks the least. Not fun to say, but it's true.
And when the Pearl 2 shows up (and the Venus, and the Voyager, and the Q9c, Treo 755p, U900 and whatever else), ppl will forget that they were even ...

I don't get upset when boy genius is wrong with a release date. I don't get upset when my two year old pee's on my new couch. I do get upset when a Verizon csr rep tells me yesterday that I will be able to pre order the pearl today then I can't, because it is not on the website. I have your full name Derrick and I am coming to your office with a two year old that wants to pee on your couch. But yeah, the sun is still shining and life is wonderful. Only thing that Verizon told the public was that it would be released in November. People start rumors with dates, and some leak info, that is not to be shared because it is not a set-in-stone date. But, the Original Poster of this thread says Verizon Dropped the ball? lmao. So stupid. Verizon told us, that is will be released on November, so be patient. They did set up a tool so that we are notified when it is available.
