Bluetooth troubles on vzw pearl

Loving my pearl so far, just one last issue to make this thing perfect for me. When I have the phone in the included sleeve, and hit the call button on my Bluetooth headset, the voice activation prompt comes up normally. However when I get it to dialing, it says its dialing and then nothing. Also, when I'm on a call with the headset, and put it into the sleeve, the call is disconnected.

I'm finding it to be a little frustrating, as my friends tmobile curve works fine with Bluetooth when its in its sleeve. Vzw cust care hasn't been able to help me yet, and I haven't been able to locate a setting to change this behavior. Hoping someone here can point me in the right direction to get this taken care of! 😁

You need to pull it half way out of the case. If you leave it in the case the call will not be completed.

Go into options and then general settings. Check the "lock handheld upon holstering" make sure it's on the setting you want, below that it says "allow outgoing calls while locked" make sure it corresponds with what you want. It that doesn't work, not sure what else it could be???? Not sure if you tried that, hopefully it'll help.

Well, talk about frustration. The RIM rep told me in the end that my bluetooth headset wouldn't work with my Pearl at all, because it wasn't on the list of devices they've tested o_0

More searching has lead me to believe that this "feature" was an intentional design :/

Guys

I reported on this weeks ago.. It's a bug and a big one!!!

I love the phone and it's great but there are a few serious bugs this is one and the other is the blue light for Bluetooth. Dont turn it off, it cripples the Bluetooth entirely.

They are working on a fix for these bug !

Thanks

They can fix it when they like, I'm liking the kickstand holster I bought a few hours ago. Hopefully it doesn't feel too weird tomorrow, I'm tired of going to the mall.

I also called up tech support and they had no answer. Like I said before the only solution as of this moment is to pull phone half way out of holster.

Oh, there's a solution. I'm going to scour the town tonight and find a holster I like that doesn't have the sleep magnet in it. 🙂

It wasn't that I didn't believe you, it was seeing it work on a curve.... Well, I had to keep trying.
