Difference between Pearl & Curve???

Please can someone tell me, I have the pearl and recently upgraded to the curve. The ppl at Verizon said there is no difference except the keypad and screen. I wonder is the internet speed different?? Is there really any reason to upgrade? I miss my pearl suretype, the buttons on the curve are really small and hard to type on (for me atleast) Any help would be great 😕

When will there be a new Pearl Replacement?

I really liked my BB Pearl. I cannot understand why there isn't a new version out yet. It is the right size, but in needs huge upgrades - better screen, more memory, WiFi, 3G speed etc.

Frankly verizon doesn't have a great phone these days. None of their new PDAs is rated well. The Storm was a huge disappointment, the HTC Touch Pro is not very responsive and it has the worst keybaard of any of the phones. The only phones rated well, even on their own site are the curve and the pearl.

Verizon WAKE UP!

Why is it required to get Data Service with BB Pearl 8130

I want to get this phone on my verizon line but they are forcing me that I must get data service. I explained to them that I just want to use the phone for Talking on it and TEXTING. I love the texting feature with SureType and the size of this Blackberry is nice and small. Anyone know if the guy at the Verizon store was just trying to make his commission selling Data Service or it is true and why?

Thanks

volume?

Do you find that the earpiece volume is too soft? I'm a little hard of hearing and concerned that some reviews on a different site say it's soft.

VZW pearl - ABC icon not going away on home screen-blocks coverage indicator-see full story

so i am on my second pearl in 1 week. i love the phone but have encountered an annoying and frustrating issue. whenever i send or recieve a text message, then go to my home screen, then go to my call log to call someone i get the ABC icon(appears during text messages) that stays in the upper right hand corner, then when i end the call and hit the red end call button the icon stays in the corner blocking my signal indicator, i have been on the phone with tech support and visited verison numerouse times, they even gave me a brand new pearl( they should since i am in the 30 days) but regardless this is getting frustrating, even on the new one i have it does the same thing. i have not downloaded anything down anything special except call and tex...

Justify a Blackberry...

I would love to get a Blackberry Pearl, but am having a hard time justifying the extra $30 a month data plan that goes with it. Part of it is that I have absolutely no experience with a Blackberry and don't know everything they are capable of. I know they can access the internet and your email but I also know that you can do that on other devices as well. What puts Blackberry over top of the others? Thanks

Getting sick of the pearl

I love the phone but the keyboard is starting to get on my nerves. I've had the phone for 6 months but I was wondering If I paid for the insurance If Verizon would let me trade it in for the curve. Or maybe pay the extra. I really don't want to pay retail for another phone like I did for this one

When will 4.5 be releases?

Does anyone know when the new 4.5 (otherwise known as 4.3.1) will be released? I updated my blackberry to what is currently known as 4.3.0.97 but it doesn't offer the features described in PC magazine such as...

• Automatic playlist generation in the media player (H)
• Microsoft Office document editing with DocumentsToGo (H)
• Native format attachment downloading (S)
• HTML e-mails (S)
• Over-the-air device upgrades (S)
• Free/busy calendar lookup (S)
• Searching the server for old e-mail messages (S)
H = handheld, S = server

Any info people have would be appreciated.

Buying the service plan for emailing etc.

Is it necessary to buy the data plan for the phone in order to activate and use it? Can you just use it as a regular phone? Will Verizon reps activate it for you and allow you to use it without the data plan purchase? Does anyone know? Please help me out, many responses will be very much appreciated.
