Verizans Nationwide plus Canada would be good but the texting from Canada would be a per text rate. 20 cents sent or received. I live on the border so we have to answer a lot of questions about this.

I had a CS rep yell at me because I had her on speakerphone. My customer yelled back at her because she yelled at me lol. I kept her on even after she requested I take her off. She was being rude to my customer and my customer was already ticked to begin with. Took me a while to calm the customer down after I got off the phone with the CS rep.

We also do cell phone classes 1 night per month and that seems to be increasing business. The customers like knowing that we will be there for them if they have problems. Then the word of mouth increases.

We've been doing raffles as well. One was for a free bluetooth and the other was 2 free tickets to a local event that included dinner, ****tails and entertainment.

Depends on the situation tho. I work with some JUST like that but she's the shift supervisor and has her head so far up the managments a$$ that nothing helps. I would more likely get into trouble for causing her trouble. How do you combat that? I just keep my mouth shut and smile and nod most of the time. It may be wimpy but I have 2 kids to support.

I work at an indirect and this happens to us all the time. The nearest corp store is over an hour away and the customer has specifically named our store and they are still told that they can come here. It IS very frustrating.

I'm at an indirect and yet I find myself fixing walmart and best buys mistakes. I went through a month of training before I could sell a phone. My rep is always getting compliments about us because we go above and beyond. Our local corp store will sell a voyager or dare on a basic plan with no v-cast. The customer comes in screaming about their $600 bill. We fix it as best we ...

Well Said. I work at an indirect as well. We actually had customers in 3 times on tuesday that customer service sent to US to do a replacement. Our "local" Corp is 60 miles away and we hear all the time of them bashing us or they will send a customer to us for something we can not handle, so we unfortunately have to explain why we can't help and send them back. We then ...

Thanks for the info. I tried it to see how easy it was and well it was easy as pie. We have a lot of customers who call about the telemarketers so the easier it is to explain over the phone, the better :) 8)

Re: Having really bad problems with battery life

in the LG enV2 (VX-9100) forum

Are you overcharging the phone? Charging it over night is def overcharging it. That can effect your battery life. 2-3 hours max. Also low service can drain your battery. I live in a very low service area and if I leave my phone on when I get home....my battery dies very quickly (an hour tops). I hope this helped.

Try the body glove cases. It's great. Makes the phone a lil bulky but fits most ppls needs. Tessco.com or try a retail store. I know we can't keep them in stock.

I've only seen one Ch 3 do this. Actually your post helped me out. I have a customer who came in last night and said his phone power cycled during a call. I thought he was being paranoid (he's in A LOT) but now I'll let him know that it may be an issue with the phone and to let me know if it happens again. :D Thanks for the info!!

I live on the Canadian Border and international roaming is quit frequent here. I have Verizon and NO problemo there. I had at&t 3 years ago and the sales rep told us at the store that we had a tower here. When we got the cancelation notice, I called and they told me that we didn't have a tower above Albany. Needless to say, I won't go back to at&t.

Re: Motorola W755
Mar 5, 2009, 3:18 PM

I initially thought that and i recommended a motorola to my sis-in-law. I got the LG. Side by side....I can make a call and she can't. Battery life is horrible for her. She's always asking why my phone has better battery life and I use mine more... I tell her I'm sorry I didn't know :( This is MY experience. Other ppl may have better luck but I'm not a believer in motorola anymore.

Re: Motorola W755

Actually none of the above. We make more money from the motorola's but I've had many customers VERY unhappy with them. I've owned Motorola and my sis-in-law owns one now. The battery life is horrible in our LOW SERVICE AREA (1 tower in a 50 mile radius). LG works very well here. Samsung as well. And it's from my own personal experience that I form my opinion.

The Smartphones use a different type of internet server. And you can turn off your email push if you want to. The omnia ia a smartphone! I suggest a Dare or Voyager if you want to go in and check it manually

Idon't know about that. We live near the Canadian border and when we call CS about roaming....they tell us to have the customer update their roaming once a month. Just a thought (not being argumentative lol)

so true. I work for Verizon and we had one woman who was going into Canada (we live on the border) and getting those lovely long distance charges. She would come in insisting that we do something about it. So...we got on the phone with CS took care of the prob by putting her on a canada plan (tada problem solved). She then went to a store in a neighboring town and complained that we put her on ...

Not at all but I've never had to worry about losing the sale due to that particular reason. Usually it's low coverage up here in the boondocks that would cost us a sale lol.
